In the summer of 1949, He Yi took a little girl into the Shuangqing Villa in Xiangshan, where Chairman Mao lived, she was the daughter of Chairman Mao and the Red Army female revolutionary He Zizhen.
Soon, the leaders of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China moved into Zhongnanhai, and Jiaojiao also lived with her father in the Juxiang Book House. In order for his daughter to adapt to school life as soon as possible, Chairman Mao named his daughter Li Min, and this name has accompanied "Jiaojiao" for a lifetime.
"Jiaojiao" is never pampered
According to Li Min's later memoirs, the name "Jiaojiao" was derived from a sentence that Deng Yingchao unintentionally said when she was just born.

One day in 1936, He Zizhen gave birth to a baby girl in a dark and cold dilapidated cave under the Fortress Mountain in Baoan County. Hearing that He Zizhen gave birth safely, Red Army female soldiers Kang Keqing and Deng Yingchao rushed to celebrate when they heard the news.
Deng Yingchao picked up the child, looked at her thin body, and couldn't help but feel pity, and said repeatedly: "What a little girl, a little girl." Chairman Mao was about to name the child, and when he heard this, he said: "Then call it Jiaojiao!"
The name "Jiaojiao" was born, and Li Min kept calling it for many years to come.

Jiaojiao's parents are both, but like the children in the nursery, they have tasted enough of the suffering of "orphans". Later, in the Soviet Union, my mother was suddenly sent to a psychiatric hospital, where she had no choice but to take care of herself, and that period of hard life was no different from that of an "orphan".
Finally in 1949, Jiaojiao returned to her father and became the "red princess" in people's mouths. Since then, she has the big name "Li Min", accompanied by relatives and friends, but her life is not as "delicate" as her name, and she has never experienced being "delicate" and "habitual".
In the second year of junior high school, Li Min wanted to go to Shanghai to visit her mother He Zizhen during the summer vacation, but this was the first time she went out alone, and she was worried about any danger on the road, so she hoped that her father could send someone to go with her.

Born in the family of a great leader, Li Min's diet is even more ordinary, and like most families in the country, Chairman Mao's family eats three things for breakfast: porridge, steamed buns and pickles.
Once, when the kitchen got some cocoa, coffee and milk powder, the chef took the opportunity to change the taste for the children. In the morning, I brewed a small pot of fragrant coffee, brewed milk powder, and replaced the steamed buns with bread and buttered.

In 1952, Li Min was admitted to the Women's High School Attached to Beijing Normal University. At school, Li Min is very low-key and approachable, and often mingles with her classmates.

Once, Li Min's friend asked her strangely: "You are a 'princess', how can you love to be with ordinary children like us, and you don't distinguish between each other?" Li Min said that when she came to school, her father and mother taught her to interact more with ordinary children, make more friends, and learn from their good virtues of hard work, simplicity and sincerity.

Li Min was deeply influenced by Chairman Mao's teachings to her, and her love for her father was thick and strong, but she was not able to accompany her father in his old age, which was her regret.

In 1959, Li Min and her boyfriend Kong Linghua held a wedding at Juxiang Bookstore, and gave birth to a boy two years later. Just when Chairman Mao was about to enjoy the happy events of the three generations in the same house, Li Min and Kong Linghua had no choice but to move out of Zhongnanhai, and since then the father and daughter have been separated by a wall.
According to Li Min's recollection, she rarely saw her father after that, and she only saw him three times from his illness in 1972 to his death.
The first time she was called back urgently, when she was still working at the school, her younger brother Mao Yuanxin suddenly called and asked her to come back quickly. Li Min suddenly felt bad and rushed back overnight, only to know that his father's condition had reached the point of uncontrollable, and the doctor tried his best to rescue him.

The second time was the day before Chairman Mao's death, Li Min was really relieved and came to Zhongnanhai again. Looking at his bloodless and very weak father, Li Min's heart was like a knife. But the next words from her father made her even more painful.
Chairman Mao held Li Min's hand with the last bit of strength and asked, "Jiaojiao is not much, don't you come to see me often?" Li Min held back the grievances in his stomach, but he didn't dare to speak, so he could only cry silently.
Less than a day after this meeting, Li Min was picked up in Zhongnanhai again. According to the last time she saw her father, Li Min felt very bad in her heart, and when she was led into her father's room, she saw that her father was already lying quietly on the bed, still wearing the familiar "Mao-style clothing" on his body, a white sheet, covering his chest.

But a pair of big hands held her firmly and didn't let her get closer, and Li Min was even more desperate. After Chairman Mao's death, Li Min's spirit seemed to have completely collapsed, and the only pillar that had sustained, influenced and inspired her for a long time collapsed.
