1. What are the treatment options for pain after cesarean section?
1. As the core solution of postoperative analgesia, analgesic pump can safely and effectively relieve postoperative pain, which has attracted more and more attention from both doctors and patients. The analgesic pump is mainly composed of a medicine storage box, a power pump, an infusion controller and a connecting pipeline. The anesthesiologist usually prefigures the analgesic pump according to the patient's age, physical condition, surgical trauma size and other factors, and the patient can apply it directly.
The analgesic pump automatically pumps the basal dose of analgesic medication to achieve continuous postoperative analgesia.
Some analgesic pumps also provide the patient with a button to add the medication if the patient continues to experience pain while using the basic dose of analgesics. Therefore, this pump is also called a self-controlled analgesic pump, which means self-controlled.
It should be noted that in order to prevent some patients from being at risk due to repeated dosing due to emotional factors, the dosing button of the analgesic pump can usually only be pressed once in a certain time (e.g., 15 minutes), and other compressions are ineffective.
2. Is it okay to add an analgesic pump after postoperative pain?
Anesthesiologists usually administer analgesic pumps directly to the patient at the end of the procedure, resulting in a continuous analgesic effect.
If you wait for postoperative pain before using it, it often takes a long time to achieve a good analgesic effect, and it is difficult to produce a satisfactory treatment effect.
Therefore, obstetricians and anesthesiologists usually do not recommend that you have postoperative pain before surgery, but decide before surgery and start using it directly after surgery.
Many people are concerned about whether the analgesic pump has an effect on breastfeeding, and the intravenous postoperative analgesic pump, although theoretically the drug may be secreted through breast milk, but in fact, the amount of milk in the two days after surgery is very small, and the baby's sucking is more to establish a reflex. The drug enters the milk less, the milk is produced less, the baby eats less, and the oral bioavailability is small, so the impact is small, so the analgesic pump used after the operation will not affect the mother's breastfeeding, and the mother does not have to "boil the pain" in order to continue breastfeeding.
3. What are the side effects of using analgesic pumps?
The use of analgesic pumps is effective, and only a small percentage of mothers still feel pain after using analgesic pumps, but there is no need to worry, these mothers can use painkillers or inject painkillers according to the level of pain. There will also be a very small number of women with nausea and vomiting, itching, shortness of breath and other manifestations, most of which will be relieved by adjusting the dosage of drugs, if the symptoms are severe, the analgesic pump can be discontinued, and other methods can be used to relieve pain.
