At the Polestar Brand Night event held yesterday, the first Polestar-designed AI flagship phone, Polestar Phone, was officially released, only available in a 16G+1TB version, priced at 7388 yuan.
In terms of exterior design, the Polestar Phone was jointly designed by the Polestar global design team and the Meizu design team in Gothenburg, Sweden, with Polestar white as the main color, supplemented by seat belts and Brembo brakes in Swedish gold outlining the details and accessories of the phone, the middle frame is made of NP66 aerospace-grade aluminum, the AG glass of the rear cover is polished using soft sand crystal flash technology, and the center and bottom of the glass back panel are etched and silk-screened to create different textures of the Polestar logo.
At the same time, the Polestar Phone is equipped with a 21:9 2K+ color display with an extremely narrow fourth-class bezel design, with 2.2mm bezels, and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.5%.
In terms of screen configuration, the screen size of the Polestar Phone is 6.79 inches, using BOE Q9 light-emitting material, with a resolution of 3192x1368, a pixel density of 512PPI, a peak brightness of up to 1850nit, and support LTPO 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
In terms of performance, the Polestar Phone is powered by Qualcomm's third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS4.0 storage.
In terms of imaging, the Polestar Phone has a 32-megapixel camera on the front and a 1/1.3-inch 50-megapixel OV50H main camera + 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera + 10-megapixel triple telephoto camera on the rear, which supports OIS+EIS dual image stabilization.
In terms of fast charging, the Polestar Phone has a built-in 5050mA battery that supports 80W wired supercharging, 50W wireless supercharging, and up to 10W reverse wireless charging.
In terms of UI design, all the icons and colors of the Polestar Phone follow the same logic as the car's Polestar OS system, with orange for communication applications, yellow for system applications, red for multimedia applications, white for tool applications, etc.
At the same time, the official emphasized the AI function of the machine. AI intelligent voice assistant: instant answer, respond at any time, easy to achieve portable AI voice experience, AI gallery: intelligently generate AI photos for existing photos, dozens of templates to choose from, including magic elimination and AI picture expansion functions, AI assisted input: put forward creative needs, generate copywriting on demand, intelligently understand chat conversations, and generate reply suggestions with one click.
In terms of connectivity, Polestar Link enables seamless interconnection between mobile phones and the car, allowing for a good experience in the mobile phone ecosystem and enabling computing power and hardware synergy.
At the press conference, the official showcased a number of new functions that will be launched on the car this year, including UWB mobile phone digital key, cross-terminal visible and talkable, mobile phone assisted vehicle OTA, unbounded photo album circulation, address replication and circulation, global gesture control, etc.
According to reports, the UWB mobile phone digital key carried by the Polestar Phone has ultra-wideband coverage compared with Bluetooth, which can achieve centimeter-level accurate positioning.
Polestar cars will also be supported by Apple Carplay in the future.
Elsewhere, the Polestar Phone is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance, and features "dual" ultra-linear speakers, mTouch Max wide-area ultrasonic fingerprint recognition system, and more.
