In recent years, Guangyuan City has renovated more than 30 kilometers of Jinniu Road of Gushu Road in Jiange County and Zhaohua District; added 74 tour guide panoramas, guidance signs, entrance and exit signs, and set up more than 30 cultural introduction signs; 9 new (reconstructed) tourist toilets and upgraded more than 10 toilets for surrounding farmers; renovated and built 10 leisure and viewing facilities such as pavilions, and built and upgraded supply points. There are more than 20 consultation service points, shuttle buses have been opened, the performance of mobile communication networks has been improved, sanitation and cleaning and safety patrols have been strengthened, and more complete supporting services have been provided for hiking tourists on the basis of comprehensive protection of the ancient Shu Road.
In Wu Tao's view, the activity of "hiking the ancient Shu Road" is not only in line with the current needs of people to pursue health and get close to nature, but also the development trend of outdoor activities, and can also make the fame of the ancient Shu Road more resounding.
From the end of last year to this year, Guangyuan City has successively carried out activities such as the Dashu Road Mountain Cross-Country Race and the Jiange Section Competition, the Dashu Road International Cultural Tourism Festival, and entered Chengdu, Chongqing, Lanzhou and other places to promote the "Ancient Shu Road Walking Tour", and launched a number of activities such as "taking the high-speed rail to travel to Guangyuan" and "Four Seasons to travel to Guangyuan" to attract tourists to visit Guangyuan and hike the ancient Shu Road.

At present, Jiange County is about to complete the repair of 11 kilometers of two high-quality routes of the Longyuan section and the Bailong section of the ancient Shu Road, which is planned to be released and opened to the public before the end of June this year, when Guangyuan's "hiking the ancient Shu Road" boutique routes will increase from 3 to 5.
In the next step, Guangyuan will also successively launch hiking tourism routes such as Lilang Road, Micang Road, and Yinping Road of the Ancient Shu Road, further extending the tour length of the Ancient Shu Road, excavating the cultural depth of the Ancient Shu Road, and increasing the perceptual temperature of the Ancient Shu Road.
