On April 23, the Nanjing Municipal Health Commission's "Three to the Countryside" volunteer service series activities entered the New Era Civilization Practice Station of Longshang Village, Tangshan Street, Jiangning District, and the 14th Jiangsu Province "Traditional Chinese Medicine is by Your Side" health tour and free clinic series of public welfare health service activities were carried out at the same time.
The volunteer service team composed of party members, league members, young experts and key specialties of traditional Chinese medicine at or above the municipal level organized by Nanjing Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine provided health services such as preliminary diagnosis of diseases, answering questions about health problems, health knowledge education of common diseases, and free blood pressure and blood sugar testing for the elderly villagers participating in the activities. Patients who have been diagnosed by experts will receive the corresponding traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions free of charge on the spot with the prescription issued by the experts, and the pharmacists will provide health medication guidance services on the spot. At the event, the volunteers also distributed free health education materials such as "Traditional Chinese Medicine is Around You: Health Reader for Outdoor Workers" for the villagers, which was unanimously praised by the villagers.
The volunteer team of the Children's Rehabilitation Center, led by Cui Ni, director of the pediatric department of the National Key Specialty of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the hospital, made a special trip to the Xinxing Inn in Longshang Village to carry out traditional Chinese medicine health care services for children with autism, so that the children and parents here felt the care and warmth of the big family.
This activity has served nearly 200 villagers, and distributed and presented nearly 500 copies of traditional Chinese medicine popular science reading materials and health education materials to villagers and village clinics, which further enhanced the health care awareness of villagers and improved the health literacy of traditional Chinese medicine.
