On April 22, the 9th Hawthorn Flower Season series of activities in Wenxi County opened in Qilipo Village, the first village of Hawthorn in Sanjin. This spring event is an important carrier for the county to vigorously promote the integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism, and comprehensively promote rural revitalization, and it also carries the beautiful expectations of the majority of hawthorn growers to "use flowers as a medium to develop the industry".

Wenxi County has a long history of hawthorn planting and is one of the core production areas of high-quality hawthorn that is famous throughout the country. At present, the county has a hawthorn planting area of 51,000 acres, planting varieties such as big gold star, big five ridges, big cotton balls, crooked red, etc., with an annual output of nearly 125 million kilograms and an annual output value of 320 million yuan. In particular, "Qilipo hawthorn" has won the "National Agricultural Products Geographical Indication" certification and has been rated as "Shanxi Functional Agricultural Products" because of its high yield, excellent quality and rich in a variety of trace elements.

Various forms of theatrical performances such as Pu opera, Huayin old dialect, and acrobatics have further enriched the spiritual and cultural life of the vast number of hawthorn growers.

What is highly praised is that at the opening ceremony, Du Lijie, Li Yuxian and other 7 hawthorn industry leaders walked to the center of the stage, with eager expectations for the red Shuo in the garden, jointly promoted the starting device and announced the opening of the event. The "platform" of the industry's flag-bearer made the hawthorn growers present more confident, and also let the outside world see Wenxi County's determination to promote the high-quality development of the hawthorn industry.
In recent years, the Wenxi County Party Committee and the county government have conscientiously implemented the work requirements of the province and the city on cultivating and building characteristic professional towns and promoting the agglomeration and development of characteristic and advantageous industrial clusters. At present, the county has 16 hawthorn production and processing enterprises and 65 professional farmer cooperatives, and has initially formed an industrial chain integrating hawthorn production, processing, sales and sightseeing.
