Bu Weiwei, winner of the National May Day Labor Medal and the second Huxiang craftsman.

Red Net Moment News reporter Yang Yan reports from Xiangtan

Bu Weiwei is a milling machine operator at Jianglu Electromechanical Group.

He also has the identity of being the key skills leader of China North Industries Group. He uses a milling cutter to create a piece of precision military products, grasping the difference of a millimeter, giving life to each part.

In Bu Weiwei's view, there are only 100 points and 0 points for military products, and we must give full play to the craftsman spirit of doing things to the extreme, so as to build the motherland's national defense cause better.

It is precisely because of this extreme that he won the 2024 National May Day Labor Medal and the second Huxiang Craftsman Honor.

Bu Weiwei's understanding of craftsmen originally came from his father.

In Yiyang's hometown, his father was a well-known carpenter. Carpentry pays attention to the mortise and tenon structure, Bu Weiwei's father made the mortise and tenon joint, which can definitely withstand the tempering of the years, the family table, used for more than 30 years, is still very tight.

Maybe it's because of his ears and eyes, Bu Weiwei has a strong hands-on ability, and he likes to tinker with small things since he was a child. In the year of the college entrance examination, although he could choose to study for an undergraduate, he still wanted to go to a vocational college, so that he would have a skill. In 2005, CNC was a very popular major, and Bu Weiwei chose the CNC major of Hunan Industrial Vocational and Technical College.

When he first entered the school, he was very confused. In his sophomore year, the school's CNC Association recruited people to participate in the competition, and he stood out from more than 130 registered students through layers of selection, and was able to join the competition training and receive more professional training.

"I always think that even if I go to college, I have to learn a skill so that I don't lose a job. With this simple wish, the term "CNC miller" entered Bu Weiwei's life and became an important symbol of his life.

It was also at this time that Bu Weiwei met the "nobleman" in his life, that is, his master Luo Jun. At that time, the contestants who participated in the "Third National CNC Skills Competition" were trained in Hunan Industrial Technology Vocational College, Bu Weiwei was a student player, and Luo Jun was an enterprise player, representing Jianglu Group.

"In his hands, the lathe is like his toy, it is easy to use, and the cut he cuts out is blue and blue, and we all admire it. Bu Weiwei recalled.

In Luo Jun, Bu Weiwei saw a bigger world. And Luo Jun did not hesitate to use his experience to tutor these students.

In order to participate in the competition, Bu Weiwei, who originally graduated in June 2008, practiced hard in school until December. In the end, he won the first place in Hunan Province and the ninth place in the country.

Go both ways

The results are out, but the work is not yet settled. At the commendation meeting organized by the province, the two met again and learned that this group of children who performed well had not yet found a job, and Luo Jun once again took everyone to see a broader world.

In December 2008, Bu Weiwei and two other classmates came to Luo Jun's Jianglu Group. Fledgling and having no work experience, everyone is nervous. However, the interviewer of the company was very enthusiastic, not only invited him to eat a working meal, but also said that he could come over at any time when the school was settled.

The bigger surprise is still to come, in 2008 into the factory, in 2009 to assign everyone affordable housing purchase indicators.

"At first, I may think that the company is just a place to support my family, but now I think it is a community with a shared future that can be fought for and realize the ideals. Bu Weiwei considers himself very fortunate that the company values skilled workers so much, which makes him feel a sense of belonging.

The change of mentality made Bu Weiwei more focused on the improvement of his skills, and he was more solid, hardworking, studious, and hardworking, and his life was "open" from then on.

"Our products need to stand the test and be safe to bring back. "This is the master Luo Jun's request to Bu Weiwei, many parts processed by the milling machine are inside the equipment, there is a little error may be difficult for ordinary people to find, but the master is very careful every time he checks the workpiece, and a little flaw can not escape his eyes.

In order to meet this requirement, Bu Weiwei has continued to learn and study from an ignorant "milling worker", and has grown step by step into a "milling expert" who is in charge of his own work.

From 2009 to 2016, he represented Jianglu Group to participate in the 3rd and 4th National CNC Skills Competition, and participated in the 6th and 7th Staff Vocational Skills Competition of China North Industries Group.

Innovation knows no bounds

卜伟伟身上透着一股子“灵气”。

Rooted in the production line for 16 years, he has participated in a number of national key scientific research projects, and the equipment produced has successfully completed major tasks such as the National Day military parade and international military competitions, and has won the commemorative medal of "celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China".

He summed up experience, repeatedly scrutinized efficient and reliable solutions, put forward 53 suggestions on product research and development, technological innovation, quality improvement, and lean production, optimized product processing procedures, refined more than 300 tool paths, solved the processing bottlenecks that have plagued production for a long time, improved and transformed more than 40 sets of parts and fixtures, and formed 16 characteristic operation methods, all of which were widely used in production.

In the processing of a military solenoid valve, the original process requires that the inner cavity is milled first and then the electric pulse is punched, so that the efficiency is low, and the cycle extension seriously affects the production progress, which makes the workshop leaders have a headache. After analysis, Bu Weiwei decided to change the process flow, drilling with a drill bit first, and then processing the inner cavity, which not only greatly reduced the manufacturing cost, but also doubled the output efficiency.

The surface accuracy of the inner ring gear, the core part of a certain type of artillery sighting system, is extremely high, which is difficult to achieve by milling alone, so he moved his attention to the grinding work. The part needs to be ground out of the gear with an error of less than 0.009mm in the inner hole of the size of the cup mouth, which not only requires the equipment to have extremely high stability, but also needs the grinding arm to be able to run freely in a smaller size space, but the company only has one equipment imported from Germany to meet the accuracy requirements, because the main accessories of the equipment, the grinding arm can only process the inner hole with a diameter of 170mm, and the inner hole of the inner gear ring of the part is only 90mm in diameter. If the machining of the internal gears was to be completed on this German imported equipment, a smaller "grinding arm" had to be purchased to compensate for the limitations of the size and structure of the equipment.

The purchase of German original imported "grinding arm" order cycle is 90 days, the price is 500,000, the procurement time and cost of the company are difficult to accept. He carefully studied the transmission principle, verified the existing "grinding arm" structure, design ideas, and accuracy requirements by exploring and finding relevant information, looked for the necessary conditions for independent design and processing needs, challenged the independent design and manufacturing of the "new grinding arm" that can process internal gear ring parts, and finally used 5,000 pieces to fight for 500,000 yuan of savings.

During the fight against the new crown epidemic, when he learned that the company received the task of completing the design, production and assembly of the mask machine and strip press machine in 30 days, he took the initiative to undertake the technical and technical research of the key parts of the mask machine, worked continuously, and completed the research and production task in only 17 days, winning valuable time for the output of emergency equipment during the special period.

With a lifelong love for milling workers and a passion for the military industry, he continued to learn and realized the transformation from an immature student to a skill master step by step.

"When I was young in school, I didn't have enough practical experience, but when I went to work, I found that I didn't have enough theoretical knowledge. Therefore, in 2018, I chose to study at Xiangtan Open University, enrolled in mechanical design, manufacturing and automation, and systematically learned the theoretical knowledge of milling machines. Use theory to guide practice, and practice to guide actual production. Bu Weiwei said.

Weiwei Bu and his colleagues discuss technology.

Today, as a key skills leader, senior engineer and special technician of China North Industries Group, he knows that success not only comes from his own efforts, but also benefits from the careful teaching of his masters and predecessors.

At the same time, he has been invited to serve as a teacher in colleges and universities many times, and has been hired as a referee and training instructor for national, provincial and municipal vocational skills competitions many times. During his tenure as the coach and instructor of the 9th National CNC Competition, he guided two players to win the first place in Hunan Province, and both won the honorary titles of "Hunan May Day Labor Medal" and "Hunan Provincial Technical Expert".

"In fact, what is difficult is not technology, but the determination to do one thing to the extreme. I polish each of my products as a work of art, supported by ingenuity casting and perfect quality management. Bu Weiwei sighed that contemporary young workers need to have an ingenious attitude and craftsman spirit in order to integrate the concept of excellence into the development of the times. "I grew up on the skills competition platform, and having superb skills can make life shine. ”
