The new M5 was launched yesterday afternoon, providing three configuration models, including two extended range models, priced at 249,800-279,800 yuan, and a pure electric one, priced at 269,800 yuan.

In terms of appearance, the biggest change in the new M5 is the cancellation of the previous large area of the air intake grille of the extended range version, according to Yu Chengdong, that is, "the big mouth becomes a small mouth", and at the same time, the exclusive exterior color of Metropolitan Red and Tahitian Gray has been added, and the interior has been added with amber brown color.

For the first time, the new M5 is available in the RS variant, with optional 20-inch RS Obsidian Sport wheels and the RS Obsidian Package, as well as the addition of a quad-head double wishbone suspension, chassis and handling sections, which have been upgraded and enhanced.

In terms of power system, the all-new M5 extended range version has a pure electric range of 255 kilometers (CLTC), which can easily meet the daily commute of a week, and the comprehensive range of full fuel and full power has reached 1,440 kilometers.

In addition to the improved range, the power performance of the new M5 has also been evolved, with the four-wheel drive version having a peak torque of 675 Nm and a 0-100 acceleration of 4.3 seconds, both surpassing the Tesla Model Y long-range version (660 Nm in 5.0 seconds).

Same as the current M5, the new M5 is also equipped with an all-aluminum alloy chassis, and is equipped with a four-ball head double wishbone + rear multi-link independent suspension, which is the same as a million-level luxury car, with less roll, less impact, high stability, and taking into account comfort and handling.

Thanks to solid materials and an optimized chassis, the new M5 has a test score of 79 km/h, which is a significant improvement over the old 73 km/h, and compared with luxury SUVs such as the Porsche Macan.
