Tencent Auto reported on April 24 that the Mercedes-Benz pure electric G-class off-road vehicle made its debut, and the new car was named G 580 with EQ Technology, canceling the previous EQG naming. At the press conference, the pure electric big G showed the in-situ U-turn and steep slope reversing, and the speed of in-situ U-turn is faster than that of competing models looking up to the U8. 

In terms of appearance, the all-electric G-Class adopts some of the designs found in the EQG concept car, but it is not as cyber as the concept car, and retains the recognition of the fuel big G as much as possible. Different from the gasoline version, the front face uses a ring light strip to outline the outline of the front grille, which is more characteristic of the electric era.

In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4624/1931/1986mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm. The side still continues the square box shape of the big G, which has not become rounded because of the electrification attributes, and it is not even easy to see that it is a pure electric big G, and the wheels are 265/50 R18 tires. In terms of the rear, the design of the external small schoolbag is more exquisite, and the rear of the car also continues the design of the fuel big G as much as possible, and there are no electrification features. 

In terms of interior, the pure electric big G is basically the same as the fuel version of the big G, using the classic dual-screen design + dragonfly three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, the essence of low window line and high vision is retained, and the central control area still uses physical buttons and adheres to the pragmatic design. It is not because it is a pure electric car that all the functions are integrated into the screen.

In terms of power and endurance, the pure electric G-class adopts four-wheel side motor technology, supports black technologies such as in-situ U-turn, and the maximum power of the motor is 432kW, the peak torque is 1164N·m, and the acceleration from zero to 100 is only 4.7 seconds. The battery is equipped with a 116 kWh ternary lithium battery pack and has a WLTP range of 473 km.
