Qiu Shihong, pen name Qiu Ruo, Qiu Jun. He was born in March 1966 in Lezhi County, Sichuan. He is currently a professor at the School of Arts, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Director of the Institute of Painting and Calligraphy of China Southern Airlines. He studied under Mr. Xu Wuwen, Xun Yunchang, Qin Xiaokan, Huang Dian and other gentlemen, and graduated from Southwest University and Nanjing University of the Arts, majoring in fine arts.
Recent research topics: poetry, calligraphy, painting, printing and Chinese culture. He has held more than 30 academic lectures across the country and participated in more than 30 important academic seminars. He has published 15 monographs such as "The Artistic Spirit of Wei and Jin Calligraphy", "Song Dynasty Calligraphy under the Influence of Theory", "Creation and Concept", "University Calligraphy Course", "Qiu Shihong's Collection of Calligraphy and Painting and Seal Carving", "Art Culture and Artistic Creation", "Fuyunzhai Art Commentary", "Fuyunzhai Printing and Storage", "Fuyunzhai Poetry Collection", and three self-compiled textbooks. He has published more than 200 papers and articles. He has made certain achievements in the three fields of art creation (poetry, calligraphy, painting, and printing), theoretical research, and art education. He graduated from Southwest University and Nanjing University of the Arts with a master's degree and a doctorate degree in fine arts. He has successively served as a tutor in Nanjing, Shanghai, Ningbo, Dongguan and Moutai studios. Since 2009, he has held seven solo art exhibitions in Nanjing, Dongguan and Kunshan.
