On April 23, the reporter came to a construction site of the rain and sewage pipe network renovation project in Rong County and saw that the excavator was roaring, and the workers were nervously and orderly excavating the pipe trench, filling the bellows and installing the inspection well.
The reporter learned that in recent years, Rong County has been committed to the renovation of old residential areas and the upgrading of urban infrastructure, especially in the construction of rain and sewage diversion pipe network. In order to further improve the quality of the urban environment and rejuvenate the old county, Rong County is promoting the construction of rain and sewage diversion pipe network in depth to lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the city.
In the past, the old town of Rong County has long faced the problem of combined rain and sewage, and some old drainage facilities have fallen into disrepair, resulting in blocked or damaged pipes and canals, which seriously affects the urban drainage function. In heavy rainfall weather, low-lying areas such as river roads and river streets are prone to water accumulation, which brings great inconvenience to residents' lives and transportation. In order to solve this livelihood problem, since 2020, Rong County has launched the renovation project of the old community, renovating the pipe network of roads such as Yanhe West Road and the southern section of Huancheng West Road in Xuyang Town, and connecting the rain and sewage pipes of the old community to the corresponding main pipeline. In recent years, Rong County has completed 50% of the total progress of the renovation of the rain and sewage pipe network in the old city, which has significantly improved the efficiency of the drainage system.
The relevant person in charge of the Rong County Urban and Rural Construction and Development Service Center said that this year, Rong County will further increase the construction of the rain and sewage diversion pipe network, and plans to complete the pipe network renovation and road blackening project of Zhongyang Street and South Street, and strive to complete the remaining rain and sewage diversion pipe project in the old city by the end of the year. By promoting the construction of rain and sewage diversion pipe network in depth, Rong County will not only solve the drainage problem in the old city, but also further enhance the overall image of the city and the quality of life of residents, and promote the development of Rong County in the direction of making it more livable, workable and travelable.
