During the confrontation between the two ships, the PLA Navy, which was incomparably strong, brave and fearless, and invincible, directly reprimanded Taiwan's local armed forces, saying: "I am the 157th ship of the 1109 ship in Taiwan, please pay attention to your position."
It can be seen that the aura of our navy is very powerful, and it has simply directly used the tone of "parents reprimanding children" to teach a lesson to the warships of Taiwan's local armed forces, which is really very gratifying! However, what makes people feel extremely ridiculous is that after the audio recording of this incident was publicly disclosed, some "netizens" in Taiwan and localities shouted in a frenzied manner: "The missile has been launched, please accept the 157 ship." The provocative meaning in this is very obvious. So, in this case, we might as well analyze it from a military point of view, does this so-called "Success" class frigate really have the ability to "launch missiles" to provoke our army's 052D destroyers?
Let's first look at the situation with the anti-ship missiles carried by this "Success" class frigate. The "Chenggong" class frigate is a "Taiwan-made version" of the so-called "Perry" class frigate, which has long been completely eliminated by the United States, and is equipped with four "Hsiungfeng-2" anti-ship missiles developed based on the "Harpoon" anti-ship missile of the United States and the "Hsiungfeng-3" anti-ship missile, whose technology is derived from the "small ramjet test missile" developed by the United States in the 70s of the last century. The Hsiungfeng-2 missile has been improved in recent years and has a range of up to 170 km, while the extended-range Hsiungfeng-3 missile's range is said to be up to 400 km.

However, relying on these eight anti-ship missiles to challenge our military's powerful "Aegis" warships, it is still a little "too confident." The Type 052D destroyer is a new type of missile destroyer newly developed by our army, which can be said to be quite powerful in terms of air defense capability, and has a very complete air defense system with three levels of far, medium, and near, and is equipped with a large active phased array shipborne radar with four arrays, which can guide the powerful "Haihongqi"-9 long-range air defense missile to intercept any missile or aircraft that dares to attack at a long distance; at medium and close range, this type of ship also has a powerful "Hongqi"-10 short-range air defense missile system, commonly known as the "10,000-round gun" The 1130 type 11 tube 30mm close defense system.
In the face of the 64-unit vertical launch and a variety of close defense systems, there is obviously no chance of any chance for a mere eight anti-ship missiles that are not very advanced, so the remarks of Taiwan netizens about "launching missiles" are completely unrealistic. In fact, on the contrary, our army's Type 052D has a variety of attack means such as the "Eagle Strike"-18 long-range anti-ship missile, the "Yu"-8 anti-submarine missile, and the "Long Sword"-10 land-attack cruise missile, while the "Chenggong-class" frigate has only one single-arm anti-aircraft missile launcher equipped with the "Standard Type 1" medium-range anti-aircraft missile developed by the United States in the sixties of the last century (note this time), and the American-made Phalanx close defense system that is far inferior to the 1130 in terms of rate of fire. In fact, not to mention this "Chenggong-class", even the 9,000-ton Kidd-class destroyer, which is the most armed in Taiwan, has no chance of winning in the face of our army's 052D. The maritime forces of Taiwan's local armed forces may have been able to do so for a while 20 years ago, but now that times have changed, any destroyer detachment of our armed forces has the ability to directly face the entire Taiwan local armed maritime forces, and this is not counting the submarine forces.
However, many young friends on the island, because they do not know enough about military affairs, sometimes make some exaggerated remarks, and in essence, they do not have a good understanding of the huge gap in strength between the two sides of the strait.
