April 23 is the World Book Day, and the first national reading meeting in Xuanhan County with the theme of "Scholarly Dazhou and Four Seasons of Joyful Reading" and the theme activity of "Joyful Reading and Recommending Good Books and Sprinting to 100 Billion Counties" were officially launched, aiming to create a reading and learning boom in the whole society.
At the launching ceremony, the representatives of the readers read out the national reading proposal. Reading lovers from schools, institutions, enterprises, and associations brought scenes recitation "Xuanhan Immortal Legend", sitcom "Readers are Happy People", and poetry recitation "Sprint to 100 Billion Counties and Create New Glory" and other programs, conveying power and making people deeply feel the charm of reading. Activities such as recommending good books and scanning QR codes to get e-books for free were also held at the scene.
In recent years, relying on 52 physical bookstores, 123 school libraries, 342 rural bookstores, and more than 500 staff bookstores in the county, Xuanhan County has organized a variety of reading activities. "Recommend Good Books Again" was rated as a national demonstration activity, polishing the brand of "Scholarly Xuanhan Joy Reading Four Seasons", forming a strong atmosphere of "good reading, reading good books, and good reading", and reading and learning has become a new fashion consciously pursued by the cadres and masses in the county.
It is reported that Xuanhan County will also organize a series of reading activities with different characteristics, build more reading platforms, and create a good cultural atmosphere for national reading and lifelong learning.
