In order to strengthen the construction of emergency rescue capacity, improve the emergency rescue mechanism for flood and drought disasters, standardize the command system for emergency rescue of flood and drought disasters, ensure the safety of people's lives and property, and improve the ability of cadres and people to prevent and deal with flood and drought disasters, Xicheng Street has carried out comprehensive drills for flood prevention and drought control and geological disaster emergency response.
Since April 22, Xicheng Street has successively organized more than 550 emergency response team members and residents in 28 resident groups in Xishan Community, Xiyuan Community, Fengguanqiao Community, Dahaishao Community and Zhandatun Community to carry out comprehensive drills.
At the Fengguanqiao community drill site, the staff took the gong, shaking the hand alarm, etc., and the emergency rescue teams immediately entered the flood control and drought relief operation in accordance with the division of responsibilities, and immediately rushed to the designated location in groups in strict accordance with the formulated emergency plan, and quickly carried out rescue operations, carried out rescue work for the injured people, and made every effort to transfer to the shelter and resettlement point. The staff simulated how to deal with the emergency when the heavy precipitation came in the flood season, and counted the flood control materials in the jurisdiction, made up for the missing materials in time, replaced them immediately if they were damaged, and comprehensively cleaned up the drainage ditches in the jurisdiction to ensure smooth drainage during the flood season.
With the order of the commander of the flood control and rescue command, the emergency response team was quickly divided into an emergency rescue group, a mass transfer group, a medical assistance group, a logistics support group, a social stability group, and a news reporting group in accordance with the requirements of the drill plan; cadres of the flood control team and the community group mobilized from house to house, some organized the evacuation of residents, and some supported the elderly, and evacuated the residents to the designated place at the specified time.
During the exercise, the street, community, and group emergency team members carefully studied and simulated the emergency plan formulated by the street, were familiar with their respective responsibilities and tasks in the emergency, mastered the basic self-rescue and escape methods and how to ensure the safety of the masses and public property, and established a drill leadership organization for the emergency plan, and strictly organized and implemented the drill activities.
The emergency team members of this drill fully cooperated, actively explored all-round and multi-angle rescue plans, performed their duties, coordinated operations, simulated actual combat to the greatest extent, and achieved a complete success of the exercise, achieving the expected effect of building defense with "drills" and preparing for war with "exercises".
In the next step, Xicheng Street will be unremitting, focusing on prevention, improving the ability to respond to and deal with emergencies, go all out to do a good job in the safety production of flood and drought disasters, build a solid safety barrier for disaster prevention and flood control, and escort the safety of the lives and property of the people in the jurisdiction.
