According to Air China, from April 28, it will successively open new Beijing-Riyadh and Beijing-Dhaka routes, resume Beijing-Madrid-Sao Paulo, and resume Beijing-Madrid-Havana routes. At that time, Air China's route network will once again cover six continents around the world. According to statistics, in the summer and autumn season, Air China's international and regional routes have recovered to 84% of the same period in 2019. With the opening and resumption of the four routes, Air China operates a total of 452 domestic, international and regional routes, including 112 international and regional routes, covering 64 cities in 43 countries and regions. Yan Fei, deputy general manager of AVIC Group, said that the route from Beijing to Sao Paulo via Madrid is currently the only route from the mainland to South America, and the route from Beijing to Havana via Madrid is also the only route to North America, bringing more space and opportunities for promoting international exchanges. The opening of the Beijing-Riyadh and Beijing-Dhaka routes will inject new momentum into the development of the "Belt and Road" cooperation with more convenient air passages.

Subsequently, the T3-D, a terminal of nearly 100,000 square meters, will be transformed into a "convertible terminal" shared at home and abroad. In addition, this quality and efficiency improvement project will upgrade all domestic and international security checks in Terminal 3 to the 4th floor of Terminal 3-C, so as to create a better experience for passengers passing through security checks.
With the resumption of international and regional routes, Air China has also launched a series of measures to benefit the people. On the basis of the original domestic version, the scope of application of the senior rights card has been expanded, and a new version can be applied to international and regional routes, and there are also more international preferential rights and interests for students. "We have also launched a new ticketing guarantee service product, and the mobile client will issue two no-reason refund coupons for international and regional flights and two no-reason refund coupons for domestic routes for free for each passenger, as well as a free refund and preferential refund policy for domestic flights within two hours of ticket purchase.
