Troubles bloom into growth flowers - written for the Ershi small textbook drama "My Growing Troubles"

Adapted from Liang Xiaosheng's work "My Growing Pains", the textbook drama of the same name of Ershi Elementary School is based on the friendship of mother and son and friends working and selling tofu together, vividly showing the mental journey of teenagers facing challenges and seeking self-worth on the road of growth. After several times of script polishing, hard rehearsals by the young actors, and the all-out efforts of the director and choreography team, this work won the recognition of the audience with its wonderful performance after more than a month of careful preparation.

The script focuses on the emotional bond between mother and child, and transforms the mother's meticulous care and expectation for her family and children in the original book into a moving moment on the stage. The young actors carefully figured out the psychology of the characters, integrated the observations of mother's love in daily life into the performance, and delicately portrayed the deep friendship between mother and son.

Yang Zemin, a young actor who plays a mother, said emotionally: "In order to better shape the role, I often observe my mother's every move and feel her silent dedication to me. When I stand on the stage, every interaction with my 'son' is like a dialogue between me and my mother in reality, and the authentic transmission of this emotion makes me deeply appreciate the greatness of maternal love. ”

The script cleverly chooses the plot of the students working and studying together to sell tofu in the original book, so as to show the friendship power of teenagers who support each other and grow together in the face of difficulties. During the rehearsal process, the young actors not only simulated the life scene of selling tofu, but also cultivated a deep friendship with classmates in the cooperation, which was vividly displayed on the stage, making the audience feel as if they were in that challenging and warm time.

Guo Liyu, a young actor who plays Xu Yan, said: "When we rehearsed the work-study scene, we experienced the process of pushing tofu carts and selling together. On the stage, we can naturally reveal the feeling of sharing weal and woe, and I believe the audience can also feel our tacit understanding and sincerity. ”

The director and choreography team have put a lot of effort into script adaptation, stage design, and actor guidance. We accurately grasp the essence of the original work, skillfully integrate stage art techniques, and create a textbook drama that is both in-depth and full of appreciation. We patiently guide the young actors to deeply understand the role, hone their acting skills, and ensure that each role can be vividly presented in front of the audience.

As the writer and director of the textbook play, I applaud and praise the children. Watching the children devote themselves to the stage and interpret the mother-son relationship and the friendship between classmates so movingly, I feel that all the efforts are worth it. They not only experienced the ups and downs of growing up in the play, but also learned gratitude, unity and tenacity in real life, which is a valuable asset brought to them by the textbook drama.
