Yu Yang, a 36-year-old Chinese man, fled the scene after killing his 37-year-old wife, Li Xuemei, with a knife at his home. Their five-year-old daughter may have witnessed the tragedy at the time.
There are also two Chinese students who have just arrived in Italy. After the incident, the 5-year-old girl first sought help from them and then notified the police.
Police quickly arrested the deceased's husband, Yu Yang, near the apartment building.

According to the report, Yu Yang just came to Rome from China with his daughter in January this year. However, because he was dissatisfied with his wife's work in a massage center, he had many arguments with him, which eventually led to tragedy.
Yu Yang was then imprisoned in Cell 7 of the Roman Empress Prison awaiting trial.
However, shortly after lunch yesterday, Yu Yang hanged himself while his fellow inmates were leaving his cell to meet with his lawyer, tying a rope to the top bunk of a three-tiered bed.
