Yesterday (April 22) afternoon, Holiyou Food (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., together with China Youth Development Foundation and China Environment Publishing Group Co., Ltd., held a popular science research activity with the theme of "Carbon' Secret Green Factory with Good Friends".

During the event, first-grade students from Shanghai Qingpu No. 1 Middle School listened to the science popularization lectures and cases on the theme of zero-waste cities, the concept of "zero-waste factory" and environmental protection knowledge education courses. During the course, the instructor analyzed how to classify garbage, how to turn garbage into treasure, and played a short video of garbage disposal, so that children could more intuitively understand the process of garbage generation and recycling, and further deepen children's understanding of the importance of garbage disposal. During the event, the children also visited the factory to learn about product production and the construction of a waste-free factory. This activity not only allows children to understand the waste disposal process and how to "turn waste into treasure", but also aims to guide children to actively practice the concept of "no waste" in their daily life. Everyone has expressed that they will be practitioners of ecological civilization in the future.

It is understood that in December 2023, Haoliyou Shanghai Factory was shortlisted for the "Green Manufacturing List" and was rated as a national green factory, and Haoliyou Food (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was named "2023 Shanghai Water-saving Enterprise", and in April this year, Haoliyou Food (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. applied for the qualification review of the title of "Waste-free Factory" in Qingpu District, Shanghai. "In the future, we have also developed a variety of strategies to continuously reduce carbon emissions and enhance the sustainable and high-quality development of our enterprise. For example, we will continue to improve energy efficiency and reduce our carbon emissions by intelligently calculating and analysing our energy waste. In addition, we are also planning a new waste resource utilization project, through the anaerobic fermentation of sludge and other organic wastes to produce methane, and the use of methane combustion to produce steam, turning waste into treasure and recycling. Chen Lihua, director of Haoliyou's Shanghai factory, said.
