April 23 is the 29th World Book Day. The day before, on April 22, sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Pingshan County Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Pingshan County Library, the World Book Day concentrated publicity activity with the theme of "Scholarly Mahu and Joyful Reading Two Rivers" was held in Mahu Park, the county seat, to welcome this day of books.
At the event site, all kinds of books were neatly placed on the booth, covering party history, popular science, fine literature, youth books and excellent local writers' literature, and the staff enthusiastically introduced the content of the event to the masses.

According to Yuan Huaqin, director of the Ancient Book Restoration Department of Pingshan County Library, the county library prepared more than 600 excellent books for this event and gave them to the masses for free.
In the future, the library will continue to carry out various forms of reading activities, continuously cultivate the public's good reading interest and reading habits, and create a bookish atmosphere for the whole people to read.
World Book Day is known as "World Book and Copyright Day", also known as "World Book Day". The original idea came from the International Publishers Association, which officially designated April 23 as World Book Day on November 15, 1995. It was established to encourage more people to read and write, and to hope that all people can respect and thank the masters of literature, culture, science and thought who have made great contributions to human civilization, and protect intellectual property rights.
