Dazhong reporter Xie Wei reported from Jinan

Located on the north side of Lijiawo Village, Jinan High-tech Zone, a large number of damaged surfaces and quarrying platforms were formed due to the early open-pit mining of limestone mines, which caused serious visual pollution, and the destruction of vegetation led to the destruction of the original ecological balance of the local area.

Mining pits and remnant mounds on abandoned open-pit mines in Lijiawo area (before treatment)

In 2020, the high-tech zone invested more than 1,700 yuan to carry out the ecological restoration project in the area, and through survey and design, the spatial distribution of dangerous rock mass was identified, and the overall treatment plan for the existing or potential collapse and high and steep slope in the treatment area was proposed. After the completion of the project, the local geological environment was effectively restored, the area of bare rock barren mountains was reduced, the vegetation coverage rate was increased, and good social and environmental benefits were produced, with a total treatment area of 261788 square meters.

The main engineering means of this project include slope risk removal, residual mound cleaning, slag and stone infall, muck slope backfilling, masonry retaining wall, planting soil backfill, site cleaning, and greening and planting. For the high and steep broken slope, the treatment first adopts the method of artificial + wind pickaxe to clean up the weathered and broken rock on the façade, and after the completion of the risk removal, the façade surface is required to have no pumice, dangerous stones and weathering zone, and then the steep vertical slope is backfilled with muck at 20 ° to cover the façade, and finally covered with 80cm planting soil for seedling planting and greening, which ensures the stability of the slope, and achieves harmony with the surrounding environment, restores the ecological balance, purifies the air, and beautifies the environment; The remnant mound is cleared, the slag and planting soil are backfilled, and finally the seedlings are planted and greened to achieve harmony with the surrounding environment, restore the ecological balance, purify the air, and beautify the environment.

Through this treatment project, a total of 261788 square meters of ecological area have been restored, and more than 20,000 seedlings of various types have been planted in greening. Through greening measures to restore vegetation and beautify the environment, so as to maintain long-term natural beauty, and gradually restore the natural ecological function of the mountain. It is integrated with the entire natural environment and effectively improves the quality of the ecological environment of the high-tech zone.
