On April 22, Jia Qingxue, a villager of Daxin Village, Dalang Town, Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, was busy planting high-quality new varieties of Camellia oleifera seedlings under the guidance of the team members stationed in the village.
This year, China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. donated 72,333 high-quality Camellia oleifera seedlings worth 370,000 yuan to Dade Village, Daxin Village and Panli Village to solve the problems of funds and seedlings encountered by farmers in the development of Camellia oleifera planting.
It is understood that Dalang Town is one of the key towns in the development of Rongshui Camellia oleifera, and has a long history of Camellia oleifera planting. In 2024, Dalang Town will include the camellia industry as a leading industry to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and implement the rural revitalization strategy, and adopt the methods of "enterprise + cooperative + demonstration base + farmer" to provide whole-process technical guidance from seedling transportation, land transfer, planting management, quality improvement, etc. The technician explained the technical knowledge of high-yield cultivation, low-yield forest transformation and pest control of Camellia oleifera to growers, and distributed more than 2,000 copies of scientific and technological information, so that the majority of Camellia oleifera growers can achieve long-term and stable income increase through the development of green industries such as Camellia oleifera.
"Sending Camellia oleifera seedlings and providing technical guidance, our village is very confident in the development of the Camellia oleifera industry. Rong Chenglong, the secretary of Daxin Village, introduced that this year, the village will build two demonstration bases with a total of 300 acres, 100 acres have been planted, and another 200 acres are also being prepared.
At present, more than 1,000 acres of high-quality new varieties of Camellia oleifera have been planted in Dalang Town, and 1,700 acres are being prepared for cultivation, and the reclamation of low-yield and transformation of old Camellia oleifera forests is also being carried out simultaneously. In addition, the town actively docked with the County Forestry Bureau, and introduced the construction of integrated drip irrigation projects of Camellia oleifera water and fertilizer in 6 demonstration bases of Dade, Daxin, Gaopei, Tongli, Panli and Hekou, laying a solid foundation for the transformation and upgrading of the Camellia oleifera industry, so as to increase farmers' income and get rich, land value-added and efficiency.
