Following the CX-60 launch, the all-new Mazda CX-80 is the second of two new models for Europe in the company's larger product group.

In the latest evolution of Mazda's unique Kodo design approach, the designers focused on the elegance and purity of the Japanese minimalist aesthetic, eliminating all unnecessary elements, which was achieved through the unique "hands-on" approach of Mazda's designers and master craftsmen. The goal is to produce cars that can only be made in Japan.

The all-new Mazda CX-80 is almost 5 meters long and has a wheelbase of more than 3 meters, which is longer and taller than the popular CX-60, and the wheelbase is also significantly longer. Combined with foldable third-row seats, the CX-80 will be available in three second-row configurations, including two separate captain's seats combined with the center console or an aisle to the third row.

The all-new Mazda CX-80 features the technology of Mazda's European flagship model, including three new features: new Alexa in-car voice control, a new hybrid navigation system that combines the benefits of offline and online services, and a new trailer hitch view that uses a central display and advanced graphics to help position the vehicle relative to the trailer.

The CX-80 is available with two powertrains: the e-Skyactiv PHEV, which combines a four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor to deliver attractive performance and excellent environmental credentials, and the high-efficiency e-Skyactiv D inline-six diesel with Mazda's M Hybrid Boost 48V mild hybrid system.

The e-Skyactiv PHEV has a total system output of 327 PS/241 kW and 500 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, has a top speed of 195 km/h and has an all-electric range of 60 km. It has excellent environmental credentials, with an average WLTP fuel consumption of 1.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 36 g/km. Producing 254 hp, the e-Skyactiv D accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 219 km/h. The WLTP has an average fuel consumption of 5.7-5.8 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 148-151 g/km.

Both powerplants are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Mazda's i-Activ all-wheel drive system. Mazda's Mi-Drive also offers four driving mode options (plus EV mode for PHEVs), as introduced in the CX-60.

The CX-80's platform features a double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, ensuring a high level of ride comfort, stable posture, and smooth body control. Its rear-bias permanent all-wheel drive system combines the stability and traction of all-wheel drive with the neutral cornering characteristics of rear-wheel drive. The all-new Mazda CX-80 also boasts an impressive towing capacity of 2,500 kg.

The CX-80's comprehensive range of advanced i-Activsense driver assistance systems is targeted for a Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating. New safety features debuting on the CX-80 include Cruise and Traffic Support (CTS) and new Unresponsive Driver Support, Intelligent Braking Support (SBS) as well as a new frontal collision mitigation feature, as well as Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) as well as a new frontal collision feature, Traffic Avoidance Assist.
