From April 22nd to 23rd, an academic forum with the theme of "Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in the Era of Digital Intelligence" was held in Dongguan Songshan Lake Future School.

Cao Yonghao, director of the Education Development Research and Evaluation Center of the Municipal Education Bureau, said in his speech that Dongguan City was rated as the first batch of national primary and secondary school science education experimental areas, and Dongguan Songshan Lake Future School, which hosted this forum activity, is a microcosm of Dongguan City's promotion of high-quality development of science education in primary and secondary schools in the era of digital intelligence. In October 2020, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the "Overall Plan for Deepening the Reform of Educational Evaluation in the New Era" (hereinafter referred to as the "Overall Plan"), which issued the first document on the reform of the educational evaluation system in New China, and is also a programmatic document to guide the deepening of educational evaluation reform in the new era. As the first physical school of the future school in the Greater Bay Area, Dongguan Songshan Lake Future School introduced the intellectual support of domestic and foreign education think tanks at the beginning of its preparation, and actively explored a student quality evaluation system based on the portrait of future school students.

After four years of exploration and nearly two years of school practice, the 1.0 version of the "Discovery • Future" student literacy evaluation system of Dongguan Songshan Lake Future School was officially released. Based on the framework of the new version of the national curriculum standards and the 5C model of core literacy in the 21st century, this system draws on the international advanced evaluation concept and rubric presentation method, and combines the school's "three forces" competency literacy model to form a set of rubric system of competency indicators, curriculum tasks and personalized learning evidence. During the exploration period, education think tanks such as the Chinese Academy of Education Sciences and the China Institute of Education Innovation of Beijing Normal University gave strong guidance and support. The evaluation system has been implemented for three semesters and has been widely praised by education experts, students and parents.
