The May Day holiday is approaching. The reporter found that during this "May Day" holiday, in addition to the traditional tourist hot cities, everyone has undiminished enthusiasm for tourism in third- and fourth-tier cities with "small airports", and the aviation and tourism markets in third- and fourth-tier cities have grown rapidly under the impetus of the cultural tourism IP boom.
From the Spring Festival to the Qingming Festival, and then to the "May Day" holiday, the small and medium-sized cities that are "not crowded and not expensive" have attracted tourists from all over the country with their special food and unique tourism resources. Xuzhou, which has become "hot" in tourism, has just opened flights such as Mangshi in Yunnan and Quzhou in Zhejiang this year.
At present, the average daily passenger flow of Xuzhou Airport has reached about 10,000, a year-on-year increase of 15%.
Not only Xuzhou, but data from a number of booking platforms show that hotel booking orders in the county market during the "May Day" holiday increased by 68% year-on-year, and scenic spot ticket orders increased by 151% year-on-year, which is higher than that of first- and second-tier cities.
Cities such as Tumshuk, Baoshan, Huaihua, Chifeng, Hotan, and Heze with regional airports have seen a significant year-on-year increase in air ticket bookings, most of which exceed 50%. While attracting foreign tourists, local residents' tourism consumption is also growing rapidly. During the May Day holiday, travel bookings in fourth-tier cities and below increased by 140% year-on-year, and the growth rate was significantly higher than that in first- and second-tier cities.
Zhan Fen, associate researcher at China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology: The main reason behind the concentrated release of tourism demand in third- and fourth-tier cities is the rapid recovery of residents' consumption demand. It is expected that in the future, the integration characteristics of air travel will be more obvious, and the products of "aviation + tourism" will be more diversified, personalized and quality.
