I've been a journalist for 17 years.
Seventeen years ago, when I joined CNS from the university's Chinese department, I first didn't know how to interview and write news, and secondly, I looked down on the news: how could I write down other people's words, or copy something from every piece of paper, with my own name?
The leader criticized me because I didn't like to go out for interviews first, and when I came back from the second interview, I turned around and went to the library with the materials and books.
Now that I think about it, I may have been a journalist with no legs. And a good journalist must not only have long feet, but also open his eyes and heart.
Long feet, this is easy to understand, is what we are used to talking about hand diligence, foot diligence, the so-called news is under the feet. First of all, you have to be there and face the news head-on before you can write the news. The news does not automatically run to your feet, your feet must be full of initiative. I can't be like when I first started as a journalist, when I think about going out, seeing new faces, and encountering new things, my heart trembles and my feet shake.
Open your eyes, it is easy to understand, that is, to open your eyes wide, have the courage to discover, don't turn a blind eye, don't turn a blind eye, in fact, many times, the news is right in front of your eyes.
Whether you can go to a place where there is news, whether you can open your eyes and see the news, is easy to say, but it is actually a bit difficult to operate. Whether your feet are meaningful or not, and whether your eyes are open to quality, depends on whether you carry your heart with you. Whether or not to bring a heart to the interview is equivalent to live homework, otherwise it is impossible to write about sparks, feelings and spirituality.
I once wrote an article about the famous journalist Zhang Jianwei, and his report on the 1992 National People's Congress was very moving. At that time, I don't know if the NPC was already as attended by more than 1,000 Chinese and foreign journalists as it is now, but it is not an exaggeration to say that reporters flocked like carp crossing the river. People stay in the high and vast hall of the Great Hall of the People, surrounded by dignitaries, big businessmen, experts, celebrities, one person comes, a bunch of reporters surround them, and then countless articles are published in various newspapers. When people stay in it, they will have a sense of self-loss, at a loss and not knowing what to do, a bit like an inanimate machine.
The machine can only stay at the foot level, but I am present. But do you open your eyes? What do you see? What are they? Why do they mean? Sometimes, the news happens all around us, and it's up to you to see it, to see it.
On that day, it was the first rest day of the NPC, and many reporters who had been busy for several days flipped through the agenda of the congress and finally decided to rest according to the deputies' arrangements. At this time, Zhang Jianwei appeared at the deputies' residence, he knocked on one door, another door, found that the deputies were not there, asked, the deputies did not go shopping, did not go to play, did not get together to chat, they all went to the ministries and commissions of the central and state organs to get acquainted with officials, exchange information, fight for funds, and lobby for projects. Zhang Jianwei, who had a heart, put the situation together and took it into account.

At a time when China's economic development has set off another new wave, the princes of various places are scrambling to be the first, and if they miss the opportunity, they are sorry for the opportunities he faces and the people he has to face. I have been a political reporter for many years, and I have often participated in the reports of the National People's Congress and its Standing Committee, and I have once claimed to be a reporter who covers with my heart, but I always use habits, conjectures, and busyness to easily cover up my findings. In addition, after running one aspect for a long time, that familiarity is also harmful. Our old friends, our superiors, they are the carriers of the news, and we only care about greeting and laughing with them, forgetting who we are with each other. And a journalist who is not accustomed to and is familiar with all this, his eyes and heart maintain the initial sensitivity. If he takes a bunch of materials and topics with him, he is very powerful and terrifying.
Zhang Jianwei walked towards us with great strength and fear. Standing on the stage of the National People's Congress, he had a lot of goods in the industry, society, the country, and the world in his belly, opened his eyes wide, opened his mind, scooped a scoop of water at the National People's Congress, poured it into the already existing field, and immediately bloomed moving flowers.
He probably wrote six or seven insightful news articles at that National People's Congress, such as "Guangdong Complex's "Magnetic Effect of the Two Sessions"" and "Take it?" and "Take it...... Bring it!", "Ruler, ruler...... Ruler!", "Tracking the First Productive Force"...... They appeared on the front page of the newspaper, and they were as heavy as cannonballs. The lesson of this "cannonball" is that the more you have in your heart, the more you discover. The National People's Congress and all other meetings are the object of your news, and it is also the starting point of a news, which gives you a starting point, a reason for you to play, a starting line, as for how far you can run, it depends on your explosiveness and endurance.
Journalists devote themselves to the two sessions, and even more to the vast number of China's social and political life, and write about the two sessions, and even more so to this kind of life. The two sessions are a part of this kind of life, and they are an entry point for journalists to copy life, and only when they have a larger amount of social life in their hearts can they dare to take the two sessions as the starting point rather than the end, so as to write a more macroscopic and purer Chinese history.
Also during the National People's Congress this year, I did not attend the meeting and hid in my office to watch from the wall. was reading Zhang Jianwei's draft, and the leader threw over an invitation "China Northwest Film Festival". I don't want to go, and I don't think it's appropriate, a film festival during the National People's Congress is really not news.
However, when I saw the overall image of senior officials of the party, government, and people's congresses of the five northwestern provinces and regions standing on the ladder in the hall of the National Cultural Palace, I was greatly shocked. Due to various reasons, the northwest does not stand in the forefront of China, the east and west are tilting, the peacock is flying southeast, and the regional gap is constantly widening...... However, the people of the Northwest have their own character of the people of the Northwest, and the Northwest also has its advantages, and it has more aspirations and actions for development and rejuvenation. When officials from the five northwestern provinces and autonomous regions stood in Beijing to deliver the opening speech of the exhibition, the 70 million people of the five northwestern provinces and autonomous regions, composed of more than 40 ethnic minorities, also stepped onto the big stage of China's political and economic arena to make a declaration of their times.
So on the same day, I followed Zhang Jianwei's ideas and wrote a press release entitled "Leaders of China's Five Northwest Provinces and Autonomous Regions Collectively Appeared to Promote Northwest China", in which the 700-word message wrote about the desire of the people in the northwest to let China and the world know about the northwest and then cooperate, how the leaders of the five provinces and regions planned this large-scale public relations activity, how the reporters of the two sessions tracked down the film festival to understand the advantages that the five provinces and regions in the northwest already have and the measures that will be launched, and also wrote about the film festival - it is just a cameo of a series of news facts, a trigger point.
The article was adopted by nearly a dozen overseas newspapers, some of which were published in the headline position. At this time, I felt a little happy to be a journalist. This is an insignificant interview, but I walked into Chinese society, into the hearts of people in the northwest, into the news, found the news behind the incident, and gave it life with my findings, it is no longer fragmented, although it is small, but it is tangible and spiritual.
I have been involved in major historical events in China many times, but I often write about the events but not the history, perhaps because I don't have enough strength to go into the news and then out of the news. The height of one's own thinking is not high enough, so that it affects the elaboration and excavation of the importance of important historical events, which makes people feel a little sorry for the news.
