In 97 BC, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent 80,000 cavalry and 130,000 infantry to attack the Xiongnu.
Li Guangli fought fiercely with Shan Yu's army for more than 10 days, and finally withdrew his troops and returned; Han said that he had gained nothing; Gongsun Ao fought with the Xiongnu Zuoxian King, and finally returned defeated. He said that according to the captured Xiongnu captives, Li Ling was teaching Shan Yu to make weapons against the Han army, so I found nothing.
If Emperor Wu of Han can calm down and think about it, if Gongsun Ao really goes to pick up Li Ling, he will at least have to report the conversation between the two. Li Ling was in such a situation, would there be a reason for making weapons?
However, Gongsun Ao successfully pushed the pot of his futile return and defeat on Li Ling, and the anger of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was ignited at once: it turned out that Li Ling's surrender was true!
So, with an order, Li Ling's family was beheaded. Since then, there has been no possibility of relaxation between the two monarchs and ministers.
In fact, that person was not Li Ling, it was Li Xu. Afterwards, Li Ling sent someone to assassinate Li Xu, which could be regarded as venting his anger, but it is said that Li Xu is not to blame for this matter, and it is Gongsun Ao who is really behind the back.
At the beginning, Li Ling was defeated, and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty hoped that he could die on the battlefield, which could be regarded as a tragic story. But after hearing that Li Ling surrendered to the Xiongnu, Emperor Wu was furious, and was so frightened that Chen Le, who had praised Li Ling, committed suicide, and Sima Qian, who defended Li Ling, was sentenced to palace punishment.
However, after Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty calmed down, this man who had been sitting on the throne of power decisively regretted it. He understood that he was confused for a while, and he fell into the hands of the veteran Lu Bode, and failed to make him the queen of Li Ling's palace, which made Li Ling fall into an isolated and helpless situation.

Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was not idle to send someone to pick up Li Ling, at this time the Han Dynasty had no outstanding achievements of the year, and urgently needed a general who could fight well to lead the Han army to inflict heavy losses on the Xiongnu, so he thought of Li Ling.
It was in this situation that Emperor Wu asked Gongsun Ao to go to the Xiongnu to welcome Li Ling back to Han, and Gongsun Ao said that Li Ling made weapons for the Xiongnu.
Some people say that this is a Xiongnu captive who can't distinguish between Li Ling and Li Xu, and a moment of mistake caused such a tragedy. It is better to say that this is deliberately done by Gongsun Ao, even if the captive really said so, Gongsun Ao's way of reporting obviously did not want Li Ling to come back.
It can be said that Gongsun Ao was the direct factor in Li Ling's deception to the real descent, and a general was destroyed in the hands of Gongsun Ao!
This is not the first time that Gongsun Ao and the Li Guang family have had a relationship. I think that back then, Li Guang changed from the forward to the Eastern Route Army, which was also due to Gongsun Ao.
In 119 BC, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent Wei Qinghuo to attack the Xiongnu on a large scale, Li Guang asked to go on the expedition, Emperor Wu thought he was old, did not want to agree, and it took a long time to make him a former general.

Li Guang knew the reason for Wei Qing's arrangement, and came to Wei Qing's camp to argue with reason, but in the end he was unsuccessful. Annoyed, Li Guang left the tent without saluting. "Zizhi Tongjian" said, "Guang did not thank him and set off, and he was very angry." ”
However, the East Road must be bad? A true master will turn a disadvantage into an advantage, and even the worst conditions can achieve outstanding results.
It's a pity that Li Guang got lost. This unfair arrangement, this adjustment of the East Road really buried him.
It is also right to say that Gongsun Ao harmed Li Guang. If it weren't for his relation, Li Guang and Wei Qing marched together, maybe there would be no regret that "Li Guang is difficult to seal".
History has no ifs.
Take a step back, if Li Guang can be less upright and negotiate with Wei Qing well, maybe he can make a compromise arrangement, and maybe he won't end up apologizing for his crimes.

What did he do? The "Zizhi Tongjian" says, "It is to wound the general, and the general hides it." Li Dang injured Wei Qing, but Wei Qing did not make a noise, but concealed the matter.
Soon, Li Dang followed Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty to Ganquan Palace to hunt, Huo Qu did not talk much, and killed Li Kang with one arrow. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty concealed the truth and said to the outside world that Li Kang was hit by a deer and died.
"Zizhi Tongjian" said, "When you go to the disease, you are lucky, and the cloud deer kills it." ”
In a personnel adjustment, Li Guang and Li Dang, father and son, took two lives.
We can't blame Li Dang for hurting Wei Qing because of the pain of his father's death. It can only be said that armed confrontation is often counterproductive.
From Li Guang's difficulty in sealing, to Li Dang's death with an arrow, to Li Ling's surrender to the Huns, there is a person running through it from beginning to end, he is Gongsun Ao. Among the promoters of the tragedy of the Li family, his grandson Ao had to be counted as one.
The image of Li Guang's grandfather and grandson's three generations of repeated disappointment is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and if you are substituted into it, no one can sigh that the time is not good!
On closer examination, there are unfair external environments in every dynasty and generation, and the three of them are not the only ones who are depressed. However, from their stories, we can see that self-denial is the only way to achieve things. If you are quick to do so, you will often bear the consequences of several times the weight.
