The third phase of Wushan Copper Mine has the first kilometer-deep well in the province, and it faces many challenges in the process of tunneling.

"There are two firsts in this project, the first is that the auxiliary well is the first kilometer-deep well in Jiangxi Province, which is very difficult to construct, but we have completed the whole project implementation process very well. The second is the tailings thickening pond of the above-ground pond with a diameter of 60 meters, which is the largest in Jiangxi Province. ”
Up to now, the third phase of the Wushan Copper Mine expansion project has completed the key shaft excavation work, including the construction of the main shaft, auxiliary shaft and wind shaft. The successful completion of this stage has laid a solid foundation for subsequent deep mining. At the same time, the construction of the roadway from the surface to -460 meters and -460 meters to -960 meters in the middle section is also progressing steadily. In terms of the construction of surface facilities, major production facilities such as auxiliary shaft towers, main structures of grinding and floating plants, tailings thickening ponds and paste filling systems have been completed. The completion of these facilities not only improves the production efficiency of the mine, but also provides a strong guarantee for environmental protection and resource recycling. In particular, the paste filling system can effectively reduce the generation of tailings, and at the same time fill the goaf to ensure the safe production of the mine.

"The shafts of the main shaft, auxiliary shaft and wind shaft have been completed, and now the main construction is the level roadway from -460 meters to -960 meters. The surface has completed the production facilities such as the auxiliary shaft tower, the main body of the grinding and floating plant, and the paste filling of the tailings dense pond. Now the construction of 110 thousand volt substation system, tailings conveying system and main shaft tower and other sub-projects, is expected to complete 85% of the total construction task by the end of the year. ”
Compared with the conventional mining mode in the past, the third phase of Wushan Copper Mine will be intelligent and digital, which will get rid of the situation of relying on manual underground operations and greatly improve safety.

It is reported that the total investment of the third phase of the expansion project of Wushan Copper Mine is 2.1 billion yuan, which is an important part of the goal of Wushan Copper Mine to "build a benchmark copper mining mine", and after the completion of the project, it is expected that the annual copper output of Wushan Copper Mine will reach the level of 10,000 tons.
