In 1969, scientists compared 935 normal men with 297 castrated men and found that the average life expectancy of normal men was 64.7 years, while the life expectancy of castrated men was about 70.7 years, indicating that the presence or absence of testicles does affect the length of life.
Later, the journal "Current Biology" also published a related research study, the researchers collected the life records of 81 eunuchs registered in Korean history, and found that the average life expectancy of these eunuchs was more than 70 years, which was 14.4-19.1 years longer than the normal male life expectancy at that time!
