Ma Liqian, the wife of Li Xiaodong, the co-founder of Sea Ltd., bought a luxury home in Singapore this month for S$42.5 million (220 million yuan).
Located at Breedon Park on Glo Road, the house covers an area of approximately 16,703 square feet (approximately 1,552 square metres) and has a price of S$2,544 per square foot.
Located next to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, this area is beautiful, well-equipped and close to renowned universities.

It is reported that Ma Liqian purchased the freehold title of the property and intends to rebuild it, and the house was purchased from the children of the late Dr. Ku Kwok Tai, the former chairman and founder of the Kidney Dialysis Foundation.
Her husband, Li Xiaodong, also owns a 1,403-square-metre plot of land near the area, which was acquired in 2018 and has been rebuilt into a bungalow.

Li Xiaodong, a Chinese-Singaporean born in Tianjin, co-founded Sea Ltd. with Ye Gang and David Chen in 2009. The three-legged pattern of Donghai Group has been formed - Garena in the game sector, Shopee in the e-commerce sector and SeaMoney in the payment sector.
With the development of SEA, he became the richest man in Singapore in 2021 with a net worth of US$19.8 billion, and now Li Xiaodong and his wife Ma Liqian have both become Singapore citizens.

This is not the first time that Ma Liqian has been reported to have bought a luxury home.
In 2022, Ma Liqian's related company was revealed to have purchased a mansion in Atherton, California, for more than $31 million in the hands of Curry, a famous NBA Warriors star, which covers an area of 7,500 square feet, equivalent to nearly 700 square meters.
