His family repeatedly persuaded him to return to China, but Li Wenbiao was unwilling. He insisted on making a career in Japan before he would return home. However, as a stateless person, he has no right to work at all, so he can only survive by stealing his life. The naturalization application has failed repeatedly, and Li Wenbiao feels more and more that his life is gloomy.
What happened?
Time flies, and another ten years have passed in the blink of an eye. When the news came that Li Wenbiao's mother was critically ill, he hurriedly went to the embassy for help, hoping to return to China to see his mother for the last time. However, he has lost his Chinese nationality and the embassy cannot do anything. At this moment, Li Wenbiao collapsed. He was disillusioned and gave up on himself.
He resolutely decided to leave his hometown many years ago, but now he realizes that his attachment to his country and family is far more important than the so-called "freedom". It's a pity that it's too late, he has nothing left. Li Wenbiao burst into tears, but he would never be able to reach his mother's hospital bed.
The country has given us infinite warmth, and we should be even more grateful and loving. Choosing to leave means that there will be a void in life that is difficult to compensate. Everyone needs spiritual sustenance, and they need to know where they come from and where they are going. It is not only about the fate of the individual, but also the fate of the country.
