On April 23, Hekou County held the 2024 "Internet + National Voluntary Tree Planting" activity of the three-year action of urban and rural greening and beautification with the theme of "Creating a National Forest City and Building an Ecological Green and Beautiful Red River".

In order to improve the survival rate of seedlings, before planting, the technical staff of the County Forestry and Grassland Bureau explained and demonstrated the key points of tree planting, and everyone concentrated on learning the essentials of planting. At the tree planting site, everyone worked in groups of two or three people, hoeing and shoveling soil, supporting trees to fill pits, and carrying water for irrigation. Under the hard work, the newly planted saplings are scattered and stand proudly, showing a strong spring mood.

In order to enhance the public's sense of responsibility for society and the environment, improve the participation of the whole people in voluntary tree planting, and promote the construction of ecological civilization, this event also issued a certificate of responsibility for voluntary tree planting to the participants, injecting new vitality and development momentum into the voluntary tree planting activities.

According to statistics, a total of 380 trees were planted in this voluntary tree-planting activity, such as worry-free flowers, big red sour branches, and Wangtian trees, with more than 90 participants. This year, a total of 177 people in the county participated in the voluntary tree planting of 10,200 trees.
Life needs green, and green symbolizes civilization. Afforestation and greening homes is a major event for the benefit of generations to come.
