On April 23, the "World Book Day" activity and the third "Liang Qichao Cultural Month" activity in Xinhui District, Jiangmen City were launched. During the event, the new book of "Young China Speaks - The Story of Liang Qichao" was officially launched, and the related series of books were simultaneously launched online and offline in Xinhua bookstores in various cities in the Greater Bay Area, and at the same time, they entered the rural bookstores, schools, and district departments in various towns (streets) of Xinhui to help promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
Liang Qichao is a famous thinker, politician, educator, historian, and writer in modern China, and is widely regarded as an encyclopedic figure in modern history. His family style has created a family legend of "three academicians in one family, and nine sons are all talents", leaving valuable spiritual and cultural wealth for future generations. Since the launch of the first "Liang Qichao Cultural Month" in 2022, Xinhui has thoroughly implemented the "Overseas Chinese Capital Empowerment" project, vigorously promoted the brand building of "Qichao's hometown", and continued to excavate, publicize, and carry forward Liang Qichao's family style, family education and patriotic spirit, so as to provide rich nourishment for spiritual civilization in the new era.
The series of books "Juvenile China Says: The Story of Liang Qichao" is planned and created from the perspective of school education and family education, combining topics such as education hotspots and students' success to provide inspiration and practical significance for today's education. At the same time, it will further empower the reading fashion of the whole society and polish the urban cultural business card of "the birthplace of Qichao culture".
While telling the story of Qichao, Xinhui District has focused on the construction of "Scholarly Xinhui" in recent years, expanding and repairing Jingtang Library, creating new public reading spaces such as Yitang Library, Jingtang Library, and Wunegative Today's Study, and carrying out reading activities such as "Love Tree Story Club", "YUE Reading Club", "You Choose Books, I Pay" and reading for half an hour, so as to create a good atmosphere for reading for all people.
It is reported that the third "Liang Qichao Cultural Month" in Xinhui District is rich in activities, and various departments and units and towns (streets) in Xinhui District will successively carry out nearly 40 cultural special activities related to Liang Qichao and a series of exchange activities of "Young China Speaks" in May, including exhibitions, lectures, new book promotions, reading salons, etc., to show Liang Qichao's ideological charm and value pursuit in an all-round and multi-angle manner.
On the same day, the unveiling ceremony of the "Xinhua Reading Space" jointly created by Xinhui District and Guangdong Xinhua Group was held, which will focus on building the most complete Qichao version book exhibition hall in the country and developing more distinctive, tasteful and diversified rural cultural spaces.
