On the morning of April 21, the second National Reading Season of the China Writers Association was launched in Chongqing. Eight districts and counties in Chongqing, including Nan'an District, were selected as cities for the promotion of national reading in this event.
The National Reading Season of the China Writers Association is a national reading brand created by the China Writers Association, which allows more people to grow and reap happiness through reading, and contribute to the construction of a cultural power in the new era by widely disseminating the good lifestyle and values of "taking pride in reading and reading as pleasure".
It is reported that the organizers of this event announced 18 recommended works of the second national reading season of the China Writers Association, 21 national reading promotion cities, and 15 recommended reading works in the five southwestern provinces and regions, and hired 21 writers and experts to serve as national reading promoters.
Reading promotes urban development and is also an important foundation for building a learning society. A total of 21 cities have been recommended by the Propaganda Department and the Writers' Association of the five provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government (including Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Tibet) in the five southwestern provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and a total of 21 cities have become cities for the promotion of national reading in the second National Reading Season. Among them, Chongqing Municipality occupies 8 seats, namely Nan'an District, Yuzhong District, Jiulongpo District, Dazu District, Jiangjin District, Yongchuan District, Tongnan District, and Nanchuan District.

In recent years, Nan'an District has carried out in-depth national reading work and continued to promote the construction of "Scholarly South Bank". Through the planning and implementation of a series of national reading activities, we will continue to create a strong bookish atmosphere in the whole region and contribute to the construction of "Scholarly Chongqing".
