After years of development, the county has formed four main plateau summer vegetable production areas. The first is the plateau summer vegetable production area in the Zhanghe River and Longchuan River basins, which mainly develops the cultivation of broccoli, scattered flowers and cabbage. The second is the solar greenhouse vegetable production area in the irrigation area of the Zhanghe River Basin, which is mainly dominated by cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. The third is the vegetable production area of the steel frame greenhouse in the Zhanghe River Basin, which is mainly planted in early spring and early autumn, and mainly develops multi-layer cover planting of leeks. Fourth, the plateau summer vegetable cold vegetable production area, mainly developing the cultivation of red shoots, realizing the industrial layout of the annual production of vegetables in Zhangxian County.
It is reported that in 2023, the county's vegetable planting area will reach 123,000 mu, with an annual output of 500,000 tons, and the comprehensive output value of the whole industrial chain will reach 2.1 billion yuan. In 2024, the county plans to plant an area of 128,000 mu, with an estimated annual output of 552,000 tons and an estimated output value of 2.4 billion yuan for the whole industrial chain.
