In order to strengthen juvenile legal education and ideological and moral construction, prevent juvenile delinquency, and enhance juvenile legal awareness, recently, the Fenshui People's Court of the Hanchuan Municipal People's Court walked into Fenshui Middle School and carried out a zero-distance and hands-on mock trial activity with students.

"Now the court is open!" As the gavel sounded, the entire trial procedure, including the reading of the indictment, the presentation of evidence and cross-examination, and the courtroom debate, was carried out in a complete and orderly manner...... More than 10 students played the roles of presiding judge, public prosecutor, defender, agent ad litem, clerk, bailiff and other roles to "hold a trial" in a case of a middle school student who was bullied and beaten by his classmates at school, resulting in mental illness and demanding compensation from the school and the student. The students were full of energy, played their roles superbly, vividly and concretely reproduced the whole process of the defendant's crime, allowing students to immerse themselves in the whole process of the trial and feel a different "live broadcast of the trial".
After the end of the mock court, Lu Yijun, assistant judge of the water division court, commented on the trial process and on-site performance of the students, and combined with specific cases for in-depth analysis, case explanations, and explained the definition, form, and harm of campus bullying in detail for the students in easy-to-understand language, focusing on the response measures and remedies in the face of campus bullying, educating and guiding young students to enhance their awareness of self-protection and respect for others, and guiding young people to establish a correct world view, outlook on life and values.
The "immersive" trial not only allowed the participating students to experience the whole process of the "trial case", but also gave a vivid lesson on the rule of law to the students who were observing. This moot court not only improved the students' expression ability and deepened their understanding of the law, but also guided the students to resolutely oppose campus bullying by taking the case as a warning, so that the idea of the rule of law sprouted in the hearts of young people, which played a good publicity and educational effect.
In the next step, the Hanchuan Court will continue to innovate the form of juvenile legal education based on the physical and mental characteristics of juveniles, and continuously improve the coverage of juveniles' participation in the practice of the rule of law by means of sending the law to campus, the first lesson of the school year, the performance of the vice principal for rule of law, public open days, and mock courts, so as to effectively escort the healthy growth of juveniles.
