Volkswagen's first extended-range model is positioned as a B-segment SUV and will go into production in 2026 and will compete mainly with the Li L6.

Volkswagen's B-segment range extender SUV will be equipped with a 1.5T range extender with a thermal efficiency of 43%, far exceeding the ideal L6. The new car has a pure electric range of up to 300km and a comprehensive electric range of more than 1,000km, and it is expected that the fuel consumption performance of the all-round operating conditions will be better than that of the ideal L6.
