At the beginning of 2021, Sergeant Bai Jiangjiang followed the convoy from the border town of Shule to the Pamir Plateau. Looking at the towering snow-capped mountains and endless wilderness, Bai Jiangjiang felt a little lost in his heart.

On Chinese New Year's Eve last year, a series of rapid telephone ringing broke the silence of the night, and the brigade headquarters sent a notice of communication reinsurance. Climbing to the top of Daban, Dou Zhenqiang took Hong Zijie to repair the optical cable and successfully completed the support task.
