In order to popularize the knowledge of hazardous waste classification and promote the construction of hazardous waste classification system, on the morning of April 23, the Yihe Lane community of Passage Street actively carried out the theme publicity activity of "Harmful for Love and More Fashionable" with the main content of publicizing classification knowledge, carrying out centralized delivery, and promoting standardized disposal.
During the activity, volunteers distributed garbage classification brochures to residents, popularized the knowledge of the main types of hazardous waste, delivery and packaging requirements, safe temporary storage and disposal, and introduced the whole chain treatment system of hazardous waste classification, collection, transportation and disposal. The types of hazardous waste, the harm caused by environmental pollution and the value of resource recycling are explained in detail according to the publicity display boards, so that residents can correctly identify hazardous waste such as lamps, expired medicines, paint buckets, mercury thermometers, etc. Volunteers also guided residents to sort out and collect hazardous waste such as waste rechargeable batteries, expired medicines, and expired disinfectants at home, and exchanged them for household necessities such as laundry detergent, encouraging the general public to take the initiative to trade hazardous waste.
The purpose of this activity is to guide community residents to understand the harm caused by hazardous waste to the environment and the value of resource recycling, and promote the reduction, recycling, and harmlessness of domestic waste. Next, the Yihe Lane community will continue to increase publicity efforts to guide community residents to establish a good awareness of environmental protection and promote the construction of a civilized, green and beautiful home.
