Godox has been on the road to retro flashes and has recently launched the Retro Flash Lux Master, a grip-shaped flash that pays homage to the flashes used in the early 20th century.
The Lux Master is a handle-type flash topped by a metal umbrella reflector (model LM-R27) with an exposed bulb in the shape of a magnesium powder flash machine used in the early 20th century, but with a modern interior and a variety of accessories to choose from. The Lux Master can be equipped with different light shaping accessories for the LM-S25 Octagonal Softbox and LM-R28 Reflector, and the AS-01 automatic sensor can be installed.
The flash has a built-in 7.2V/2980mAh lithium battery with up to 460 flashes at full power, and supports USB-C charging, which takes about 2 hours to charge at 5V/2A. The flash index has reached GN25 (ISO100, meters), the full power recycle time is 1.8 seconds, the flash power can be adjusted between 1/1-1/256, the flash color temperature is 6000K±3000K, the lamp head can be moved between 0-90°, which is convenient for users to carry out jump operation, supports TTL function, high-speed synchronization, curtain synchronization, rear curtain synchronization, and also has a built-in Godox 2.4G wireless X system, compatible with XproII, X2T multiple flash triggers. There is also a circular touch screen on the top of the handle, and there are control buttons and a turntable at the bottom of the screen to facilitate users to set parameters. The size of the Lux Master is 140*260*99mm (under the lens hood is unfolded), and the net weight is 470g (including LM-R27), but it needs a quick-release plate to be fixed to the camera, and the weight will be a little heavier when actually used.
The Lux Master is priced at more than 1,000 yuan, which is the highest-priced retro flash of Godox at the moment, but it is also the most comprehensive retro flash of Godox at the moment.
