On April 17, the Shenzhen Mawan Power Plant Upgrading and Reconstruction Project designed by the Southwest Branch of China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation - the EPC project of the gas supply line from Dachan Island to Mawan Power Plant was successfully traversed. The directional drilling length of the project reached 4,735 meters, setting three new records for the world's longest onshore and sea directional drilling, the world's longest directional drilling crossing with a pipe diameter of more than 600 mm, and the world's longest directional drilling crossing for natural gas pipelines.
As a major strategic project in Shenzhen, the EPC project of the gas supply line from Dachan Island to Mawan Power Plant is an important part of the power supply construction and upgrading of Mawan Power Plant in Guangdong Province, which is of great significance for Shenzhen's energy supply, helping Mawan Power Plant to upgrade its environmental protection, and optimizing the layout of the natural gas pipeline network in western Shenzhen.
The Southwest Branch of the Engineering Construction Company gave full play to the design advantages and the core technology advantages of long-distance large-diameter directional drilling in complex formations, formed a project design plan with controllable risk and economic reasonableness within one month, and passed the review at one time, and completed the design and review of the offshore structural platform in two months. During the crossing process, the company sent an expert team to the site to provide full-time engineering design services to ensure the safe, high-quality and efficient crossing of directional drilling.
