From 23 to 24 April, the Peace Ark and the Zibo were moored at the North Bund in Shanghai, ushering in the opening of barracks and ships at a naval base in the Eastern Theater.
The officers and men of the navy at the scene were well-groomed and the warships were majestic. Many Shanghai citizens came to the warship early and took photos with the two ships. It has been learned that the two warships dispatched by a certain naval base in the Eastern Theater are the "Peace Ark," a 10,000-ton maritime medical rescue platform designed and built by the mainland itself, and the Zibo destroyer, a new-generation missile destroyer designed and built by the mainland itself.
The Peace Ark has been awarded the title of "Model of the Times" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, won the National May Fourth Youth Medal, and was awarded the first-class collective merit twice. The Zibo is a new type of guided missile destroyer independently developed by the mainland, which has successfully completed more than 30 major missions, carried out the 44th batch of escort missions of the Navy, and efficiently completed 28 batches of escort missions for Chinese and foreign ships.
People from all walks of life have gained a close understanding of the training life of the navy units by visiting naval vessels and watching the display of navy special subjects, thus further enhancing their awareness of maritime and sea power.
