In the eighth part of the series of reports on "Regional Atlas of Listed Companies", Jiemian Think Tank introduces the industrial distribution of listed companies with new quality productivity in 31 provincial-level administrative regions (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), and on this basis, a total of 1565 listed companies with new quality productivity are selected in the five major urban agglomerations of the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Central Triangle and Chengdu-Chongqing City Circle for further analysis.

The interface think tank found that in terms of quantity distribution, the proportion of the top three new productivity industries in the five major urban agglomerations increased by 1.3 percentage points compared with the national proportion, and in terms of market value, the top three industries increased by 4.7 percentage points compared with the national proportion. The new generation of information technology industry is still performing well in the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Central Triangle, firmly occupying the first place in market capitalization, but in the Pearl River Delta and Chengdu-Chongqing urban circle, the first position in market value is replaced by the future industry and the biological industry respectively.

In addition, the emergence of the aerospace industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan area is worth paying attention to, the Chengdu-Chongqing aerospace industry has a total of 8 new quality productivity listed companies, of which 5 are listed in the past 5 years, with the continuous development of industrial clusters, the aviation economy in the Chengdu-Chongqing region should not be underestimated.

Previously, among the 1,896 listed companies with new productivity in the country compiled by the interface think tank, the top three industries in terms of number were the new generation of information technology industry, high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and biological industry, accounting for 57.8% of the total. The three major industries accounted for 59.1% of the total number of listed companies in the five major urban agglomerations, an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared with the national proportion, of which the proportion of the new generation of information technology industry increased by 1.5 percentage points, the proportion of high-end equipment manufacturing industry increased by 0.7 percentage points, and the proportion of biological industry decreased by 0.9 percentage points.

From the perspective of the market value distribution of listed companies with new quality productivity in the five major urban agglomerations, the new generation of information technology industry, future industry, and biological industry are still the top three industries in terms of market value, which is consistent with the top three industries in the market value of listed companies with new quality productivity in the country, with the total proportion of the three industries accounting for 70.6%, an increase of 4.7 percentage points compared with the national proportion, of which the proportion of the new generation of information technology industry increased by 3.3 percentage points, the proportion of future industries increased by 1.9 percentage points, and the proportion of biological industry decreased by 0.5 percentage points.

The new generation of information technology industry in the five major urban agglomerations still occupies the first position in the number of urban agglomerations, of which the Yangtze River Delta has the largest number of new generation information technology industries, but if you look at the proportion of the number of industries in the major urban agglomerations, the proportion of the new generation of information technology industry in the Pearl River Delta is the most prominent, accounting for 46.2% of the new quality productivity of listed companies in the Pearl River Delta; The Central Delta is still performing well, firmly occupying the first place in market capitalization, but in the Pearl River Delta and Chengdu-Chongqing City Circle, the first position in market capitalization is replaced by the future industry and the biological industry respectively.

On the whole, the five major urban agglomerations of new quality productivity listed companies are mainly distributed in the new generation of information technology industry, high-end equipment manufacturing industry, new materials industry, biological industry, energy conservation and environmental protection industry, future industry these six areas, which is similar to the national distribution, the difference is that individual industries in the region to which they perform outstandingly, such as the Chengdu-Chongqing urban circle of aerospace industry among its top five industries.

Specifically, the top five industries are the new generation of information technology industry (195), high-end equipment manufacturing industry (120), new materials industry (119), biological industry (98), energy conservation and environmental protection industry (94), accounting for 25.0%, 15.4%, 15.3% of the total number of new quality productivity listed companies in the Yangtze River Delta, respectively. 12.6% and 12.1%, accounting for 80.4% in total. In terms of market capitalization, the new generation of information technology industry ranked first with 33.4%, the future industry ranked second with 18.6%, and the rest were high-end equipment manufacturing industry (9.6%), biological industry (9.2%), and new materials industry (8.6%).

In addition to the above five industries, the Yangtze River Delta also performed well in other industries, showing its leading position. The most eye-catching is the marine equipment industry, in the five major urban agglomerations there are 15 new quality productivity listed companies in the industry, of which 12 are from the Yangtze River Delta, accounting for 80.0% of the total number of the industry in the five major urban agglomerations; the new energy industry, new energy automobile industry, future industry, and aerospace industry in the Yangtze River Delta account for 65.2%, 64.0%, 41.9%, and 36.8% of the corresponding industries in the five major urban agglomerations respectively.

The Pearl River Delta, which ranks second in terms of total quantity, has the same four major industries as the Yangtze River Delta, followed by a new generation of information technology industry (153), high-end equipment manufacturing industry (46), new materials industry (33), and biological industry (26), but the difference is that the future industry has emerged, ranking fifth with the number of 25 energy conservation and environmental protection industries. In terms of the proportion of volume, they were 46.2%, 13.9%, 10.0%, 7.9%, 7.6% and 7.6%, respectively, and if the influence of parallel industries is excluded, the total proportion is 85.6%. In terms of market capitalization, the future industry jumped to the first place with a proportion of 32.4%, the new generation of information technology industry accounted for 29.7%, and the rest were the biological industry (17.5%), high-end equipment manufacturing industry (6.5%), and new materials industry (4.2%).

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, which ranks third in terms of total quantity, the top five industries are slightly different from the above two major urban agglomerations, and the performance of the future industry is more prominent, squeezing out the top five energy conservation and environmental protection industries, and the number from high to low is the new generation of information technology industry (83), biological industry (39), future industry (31), high-end equipment manufacturing industry (30), new materials industry (18), accounting for 35.0%, 16.5%, 13.1% of the total number of listed companies in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei new quality productivity, respectively. 12.7% and 7.6%, accounting for 84.9% in total. In terms of market capitalization, the new generation of information technology industry won the first place with an overwhelming advantage of 52.2%, the future industry ranked second with 20.2%, the biological industry and the high-end equipment manufacturing industry ranked third and fourth with 10.0% and 4.1% respectively, and the new energy industry surpassed the new material industry and the energy conservation and environmental protection industry with a proportion of 3.5%.

The top five industries in the middle triangle ranked fourth in total are the new generation of information technology industry (31), high-end equipment manufacturing industry (26), biological industry (24), new materials industry (20), energy conservation and environmental protection industry (11), accounting for 23.0%, 19.3%, 17.8%, 14.8% and 8.1% of the total number of new quality productivity listed companies in the triangle, accounting for 83.0% in total. In terms of market capitalization, the future industry replaced the energy conservation and environmental protection industry to enter the top five, and the market value accounted for from large to small in order of the new generation of information technology industry (28.1%), future industry (17.2%), high-end equipment manufacturing industry (12.8%), new materials industry (10.8%), and biological industry (10.3%).

The Chengdu-Chongqing City Circle, which ranks fifth in terms of total quantity, is still the first-ranked industry in the new generation of information technology industry (20), the high-end equipment manufacturing industry and the biological industry are tied for the second place with 17, the new materials industry and the aerospace industry are tied for the fourth, and the energy conservation and environmental protection industry and the future industry have not been selected as the top five industries in the Chengdu-Chongqing City Circle, and have been replaced by the aerospace industry, which is confirmed by the policy goal of the Chengdu-Chongqing region to accelerate the construction of aerospace industry clusters. In addition, affected by the geographical location of Chengdu and Chongqing, its new quality productivity listed companies only have 9 types of layout in 10 major industries, and the marine equipment industry is currently vacant. In terms of volume and proportion, the top five industries in the Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan area accounted for 24.1%, 20.5%, 20.5%, 9.6% and 9.6% respectively, accounting for 84.3% in total. In terms of market capitalization, the performance of the biological industry is particularly prominent, ranking first with a market value of 31.2%, the new generation information technology industry ranking second with 16.6%, the aerospace industry ranking third with a market value of 12.5%, and the new materials industry and the new energy vehicle industry ranking fourth and fifth, accounting for 11.3% and 11.2% respectively.

Through the search of specific listed companies, it is found that there are a total of 8 listed companies in the aerospace industry in Chengdu-Chongqing, of which 5 have been listed in the past five years, and the rapid development of this field has long been traced. In 2019, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, together with Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality, jointly compiled and issued the "Chengdu International Aviation Hub Strategic Plan" and the "Chongqing International Aviation Hub Strategic Plan", which further clarified the construction ideas, development goals and strategic tasks of Chengdu and Chongqing international aviation hubs, and in 2022, the Civil Aviation Administration of China issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Chengdu-Chongqing World-class Airport Cluster", proposing that by 2025, Chengdu-Chongqing world-class airport cluster will begin to take shape and become the fourth pole supporting the development of civil aviation in mainland China. In the future, with the continuous development of industrial clusters, Chengdu-Chongqing aviation economy should not be underestimated, and may become the capital of China's aviation economy.
