Minle County Jinshan Museum was founded in June 2017. In December 2019, it was named as a patriotic education base and a party spirit education practice base for party members and cadres by the Propaganda Department and Organization Department of the Minle County Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, and in April 2020, it was named a red education base by the Zhangye Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
In recent years, with the deepening of red education, Jinshan Museum has become a check-in place for local children to carry out red education.
