Introduction to Art
Wen Zhaohui, male, master's degree candidate, born in 1968, from Wuhua County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, is currently a member of the Guangdong Artists Association, the honorary vice president of the Macao Academy of Fine Arts, the director of the Guangdong Chinese Painting Society, the distinguished painter of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the second tutor of the graduate students of the Art College of South China Agricultural University, the innovation and entrepreneurship tutor of the private Hualian University, and the former deputy inspector of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication, and has been engaged in cultural and artistic work for a long time. He studied under the high feet of Gao Jianfu of the Lingnan School of painting, and Professor Kong Xianming, a famous landscape painter, for decades, he studied from nature, learned from others, studied poetry, calligraphy and painting, and deeply understood the spirit of Chinese painting and the essence of the Lingnan School, held many personal exhibitions and published albums, participated in many important exhibitions at home and abroad, and his works were well received by the industry and the people, and were collected by many institutions and individuals. Especially after resigning from the government and joining the arts, he integrated his solid cultural foundation, long-term cultural experience, and rich life experience into his artistic creation, and devoted himself to the pursuit of the free kingdom of art, forming a distinctive, rich connotation, and luxurious artistic style and language, and became a rare modern literati painter who integrated academic school and literati painting.
Artistic Chronology:
Since 2012, he has participated in exhibitions at the Guangzhou International Art Fair for several consecutive years. And before that, the expo was organized for a long time.
In 2014, he led a team of 10 painters from Guangzhou Fine Art Academy to India, Nepal and Sri Lanka to hold art exhibitions and conduct cultural and artistic exchanges.
In 2015, he participated in the sketching activities of the four famous mountains in Guangdong sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and other departments and participated in related exhibitions, and participated in the sketching activities and related exhibitions of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War of Guangzhou Fine Art Academy.
In 2016, he went to the western United States to sketch and conduct cultural exchanges.
In 2017, Wen Zhaohui's personal poetry and painting exhibition was held in the Creative Industry Park of Guangzhou Redtory Factory.
In May 2018, he held a group exhibition of famous Lingnan painters in the Bay Area with four other painters from the Guangzhou Fine Art Academy in Hong Kong, and in the same year, he held solo exhibitions at the Guangzhou Huadu Art Museum and the Guangzhou Yuexiu District Cultural Center.
From August 2020 to the end of 2020, sponsored by the Guangdong Artists Association and the Guangdong Chinese Painting Society, and co-organized by relevant units, a solo exhibition was held at the Exhibition Center of the Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences.
From February 8th to March 5th, 2021, he participated in the "Six Contracts and Vientiane Renewal-Lingnan Cultural Masters Conghua Spring Festival Invitational Exhibition" hosted by Conghua District Library in Guangzhou, and on September 13, the Chinese painting "Sanheba Today" was exhibited by the School of Literature and Art of the Chinese Academy of Arts, the School of Humanities and Arts of Macau University of Science and Technology, On October 15, as the second supervisor of graduate students, he was invited to return to his alma mater, the College of Arts, South China Agricultural University, to give a special lecture entitled "Promoting the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation through the Revival of Literature and Art", which was attended by more than 100 teachers of the Academy.
From November 3rd to December 3rd, 2021, the exhibition of hanging scrolls of landscape painting was held at the Art Museum of Guangzhou New Century Art Research Institute.
From February 18th to March 14th, 2022, he was specially invited to participate in the "Glorious History-Guangzhou Art Exhibition" sponsored by the Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Guangzhou Artists Association and exhibited at the Guangzhou Art Museum.
From May 21 to July 21, 2023, a joint exhibition of works by six artists, "Yunshan Ink Rhyme", will be held with Chen Yongkang, Wang Xiaofeng, Mo Gebo, Zhao Duorui and Lin Zhongjian at the Songyuan Guangzuo Furniture Museum. From September 28th to October 12th, a number of works were exhibited in the "Joint Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting Works for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day" held in the Overseas Chinese Branch of the Hakka Museum in China, and the work "Longgui Waterfall" was collected by the museum.
Published monographs: In 2017, "Wen Zhaohui's Selected Poems and Paintings" was published by Lingnan Fine Arts Publishing House.
