At about 16 o'clock in the afternoon of March 22, 2024, a fire broke out in a garbage heap on an open land on East Ring Road in Haicheng Town, Longhai District. It is understood that the fire broke out in a garbage dump in an open field, which was full of debris and foam, resulting in thick smoke.

On March 30, 2024, Wang Mouhuai, a cleaner of a factory in Qingshui Town, Fugu County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, accidentally burned garbage in the garbage pond outside the gate of the factory and accidentally caused a fire, resulting in a fire on 537.0825 acres of land, causing 105.79 acres of woodland, 3.54 acres of nursery land, and 2.87 acres of orchards to burn, killing and injuring a total of 2,828 trees of various types. Criminal suspect Wang Mouhuai's behavior violated the provisions of Article 115, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, and was suspected of the crime of arson, and was criminally investigated by the Fugu County Public Security Bureau in accordance with the law, and compulsory measures of criminal detention were taken.
