On March 3, 2024, Liu in Huaiyin District received a QQ message from a classmate, saying that his QQ transfer was restricted, and hoped that Liu could help send QQ red envelopes to his cousin. The classmate asked Liu for the WeChat collection code, and then sent a screenshot of the transfer, claiming that it was set to "arrive in 2 hours", but the cousin was in a hurry to use the money and hoped that Liu could transfer the money as soon as possible. Liu hesitated, so he asked the other party where he was now, and the other party sent a video, the voice and appearance were the classmates themselves, and Liu completely dispelled his doubts. After that, the classmate pulled Liu into a QQ group and asked Liu to send QQ red envelopes in the group many times, totaling 6499 yuan. When there was no balance in Liu's bank card, and the classmate's WeChat transfer had not arrived, he felt that something was wrong and chose to call the police.

01 Common methods of AI fraud
Sound synthesis
Fraudsters extract sound materials in various ways, obtain sound features, synthesize sounds, and then render and add synthesized voices through the background environment to commit fraud.
AI face swapping
Fraudsters use algorithms to accurately identify face images in material videos, extract key facial features such as eyes, nose, mouth, etc., and then match, replace, and fuse these features with the target face images to generate videos or photos to "confuse the real with the fake", and then commit fraud.
Police remind
01
Protect information and prevent leakage. Do not expose personal information such as faces, fingerprints, and voices on the Internet.
02
Multiple verifications to confirm identity. You can ask the other person to wave their hands, press their nose, pinch their face, etc., in front of their face, and observe whether their face is deformed, shaky, etc. You can also call the person's usual phone number, rather than the so-called "new number", to further verify the person's identity.
03
Eliminate temptation and be vigilant. Do not log in, do not download unknown websites and software, and do not click on advertisements and winning information sent by unknown platforms to avoid being invaded by viruses.
04
If you are accidentally deceived or encounter suspicious situations, please pay attention to protect the evidence and call the police immediately on 110.
