Judging from the previous BYD SHARK spy photos, the new car is more tough in design as a whole, looks very muscular, and has a strong off-road style. The "8" shaped headlights on both sides of the front face of the vehicle are square, highlighting the sense of stability; combined with the previous patent application drawings of BYD, the huge "BYD" three letters are set in the center of the grille; in addition, the size of the front envelope of the new car is also relatively large, and the whole front face looks very open-minded.

The BYD SHARK is based on the DMO super hybrid off-road platform, in which the engine and EHS electric hybrid system of the DMO platform adopt a longitudinal layout, and are compatible with 1.5T and 2.0T longitudinal engines, both of which are high-power versions dedicated to Xiaoyun plug-in hybrid, with high compression ratio, high thermal efficiency, high-pressure fuel injection system and other technologies.
In terms of specific power parameters, the DMO super hybrid off-road platform is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a maximum output of 143 kW, and the 2.0-liter engine has a maximum power of 180 kW. Its electronic control and power generation system controllers are all equipped with SiC chips as standard, with an efficiency of 99.5%, a comprehensive fuel consumption of 7.8L/100km and a comprehensive cruising range of 1200km.
