On April 20th, the "Urban and Rural Children Hand in Hand, Pair Help and Grow Together" Urban and Rural Parent-Child Family Integration Program of the "Fulei Action Plan" in the Northwest Five Towns of Dehua County successfully held its first activity in Shangchong Town Central Primary School - "Stepping on the Countryside and Meeting Another Self".
The purpose of this activity is to enable children and their families in distress to overcome difficulties in the warmth of social care and friendship, insist on learning, build confidence and aspire to become talents in the process of sharing and interaction, let Chengguan parent-child families form a positive attitude towards life in practical experience, and play the role of "small hands join big hands" to drive more people and more families to pay attention to rural children and contribute to rural children.
On the day of the event, the social workers actively organized the participating families to find suitable partners, guided both parties to introduce themselves, and distributed the same animal headbands to the successful families to promote mutual familiarity between the paired families.
After the pairing is successful, the paired families go to the signature wall to sign their names and take a group photo at the check-in counter.
In the form of a joint signature, paired families form a "contract" of pairing, which enhances the awareness of pairing and the sense of responsibility for each other, and lays the foundation for promoting the common growth of paired families. At the end of the pairing, teachers from Shangchong Town Central Primary School introduced the children to the village school in Chengguan, and the students led their pairs to visit their classrooms. Afterwards, the paired families walked to the blueberry base, and along the way, the children of Shangchong Town Central Primary School enthusiastically introduced the environment in which they grew up. When they arrived at the blueberry base, the person in charge enthusiastically explained the origin and growth process of blueberries, guided them to observe the growth form and environment of blueberries, and the children picked blueberries themselves and tasted them on the spot. Through observation, urban and rural children have a deeper understanding of rural culture and enhance their understanding and respect for the natural world.
