On the eve of the opening of the 6th National (Yangling) Rapeseed Science and Technology Conference, the reporter interviewed Pu Dingfu, general manager of Sichuan Mianbang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Mianbang Company), according to him, since 2020, Mianbang Company has accumulated 15,000 acres of hybrid rapeseed seeds, with an output value of 37.5 million yuan for seed farmers, driving a total increase of 19.5 million yuan in seed farmers. In the past three years, the company has sold a total of 1.8 million kilograms of rapeseed seeds, with an output value of 45 million yuan, a total of 10 million mu of promoted planting, and an output value of 1.2 billion yuan for planting farmers, with an average increase of 260 yuan per mu and a total increase of 260 million yuan.

"These test demonstration sites provide strong test data support for Mianbang Company to screen strong dominant varieties. Pu Dingfu said that Mianbang company in the Yangtze River basin winter rape area and the north of Xinjiang, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai and other spring rape areas have set up variety screening test demonstration sites, a total of 23, in different rape planting ecological regions in the country with a number of new varieties of promotion test demonstration sites, but also established Xinjiang Zhaosu high erucic acid planting base, Inner Mongolia Hulunbuir high erucic acid planting base and Sichuan Guangyuan Jiange County high erucic acid planting base 3 large-scale high erucic acid rape demonstration area.
In addition, Mianbang company establishes a standardized rapeseed production base of more than 6,000 acres every year, carries out high-yield rapeseed production training more than 5 times a year, and trains more than 2,000 people in total. After the seeds are sold, special personnel are arranged to closely track the use of seeds by growers, provide users with technical and cultivation consultation, and do a good job of field investigation and records. The after-sales service is extended to the field, and customers are guided on how to manage the field and select agricultural materials, forming a unique after-sales service system.

Accelerate the application of varieties and bloom the "Belt and Road"
"The scientific research team of Mianbang Company has selected more than 20 rapeseed varieties, including 12 varieties with high erucic acid, and now 8 varieties are now popularized and applied, with some varieties having erucic acid content of more than 60% and oil content of more than 50%. It has reached the leading level in China in the breeding of high erucic acid rape, and has reached the international advanced level in the breeding of recessive nuclear sterility three-line extra-high erucic acid rape. On April 25, 2023, at the 5th National (Yangling) Rapeseed Science and Technology Conference, Pu Dingfu said in an interview with reporters.
