On the 18th, at the press conference held by the Information Office of the Harbin Municipal Government, Sun Dexin, deputy director of the Harbin Municipal Administration Bureau, introduced the tour route of lilacs and invited Chinese and foreign guests to come to Harbin to enjoy the beautiful lilacs.
There are more than 50 varieties of lilacs
Lilac as the city flower of Harbin, from the end of the 19th century began to plant, after more than 100 years of cultivation, in recent years, the garden department of Harbin City continues to expand the number of cloves planted, explore new varieties, the existing commonly used clove planting varieties 13, plus scientific research and experimental varieties, a total of more than 50 varieties, formed a green landscape with distinctive urban characteristics.
The best spot and time to see cloves
From the beginning of May to the end of June, it is the period of concentrated ornamentation of lilacs, as different varieties of lilacs open in chronological order, the streets and alleys of the city and the parks are full of refreshing aromas; in early May, North China lilacs and foreign lilacs bloom one after another, in mid to late May, small-leaved lilacs and blue lilacs bloom subsequently, red lilacs and Liaodong lilacs bloom at the end of May or early June; the flowering varieties in June are mainly storm martin, golden garden lilac and Beijing lilac.
Lilacs are commonly planted in Harbin City Park, and large lilacs can be seen in Stalin Park, Music Park, Zhaolin Park, Children's Park, and Ancient Pear Garden along the river. In recent years, relying on the construction of "Lilac City", Harbin City has successively built a number of lilac theme parks, including "Qunli Lilac Park" in Daoli District, "Lilac Science and Technology Expo Park" in Xiangfang District, "Tianchi Lilac Garden" and "Baili Lilac Garden" in Pingfang District; In the green space on both sides of the urban road, such as the city's second ring road, the third ring road and other expressways, along the riverside road, Zhaolin Street, Ganshui Road, Zhengyi Road, Songbei Avenue in the urban area, as well as Majiagou, Xinyi ditch, Hejiagou and other "three ditches" along the line, around the greenway, you can enjoy the lilacs in concentrated bloom.

This year, Harbin will continue to expand the planting area of cloves, adding more than 20,000 lilacs to make the city more colorful.
